Diablo sport intune

I'm having my engine Replaced from engine failure over warranty it's a . 2014 c7 And I don't think my tuner will work any longer if I have to have th engine replaced might have to get a new tuner but does the engine still consider a 2014 or is it a 2015 mode engine when I order the tuner

It should work on your new motor unless dealer changes pcm, loads a different oem tune file, making the tuner think its used in a different vin car. I would shoot Mike or Diablo s tech support an email if it does not work with new motor and they will help you out....you did did restore oem tune before bringing car in for motor change?

No reason to get a new handheld, it's tied to the ECU, not engine. Worst case, Diablo will get it unlocked for you if for some reason the dealer reset or replaced your ECU. The same handheld can be used regardless of 2014 or 2015.

Ideally just restore the stock tune to the vehicle before they service it then when you get it back it will simply let you load the new tunes :)

Thanks

So I am assuming you had it tuned with the Diablo before the failure?

Can you give us additional info? Wet sump motor? Type of failure and so on!

Wet sump
3 Cylinders Failure went out and had them replaced then 2 weeks later took it back in hearing a noise in the gear box they told me it was a bad torque tube and found metal in the oil filter and they told me I have 2 options . Either rebuild it or replace they Recommended be to replace it and I thought it was a better way to go

That's all that's required. After dealer replaces motor it will connect to pcm and load tune with no problem. When you restore factory tune, the in tune has 1 license back on it to tune another vehicle.:yesnod: good luck with the new motor!

A little off topic but do you like the tune, feel it's a decent gain?

So would this be confirmation they were not able to detect the tune?

100% they did not know I tuned the car they look for that to void my warranty they look for any reason to not fix it

Yes it made a deferents harder shifts disabled torque management

Wow, so then the work has been authorized and all.

I'd love to reduce the AFM on mine, but not looking for anything else so a dyno tune I don't think is necessary. The Range device and Diablo are what I'm looking at right now.

I have a Range I will sell if you are interested. I used it on my 2014 Camaro SS as the AFM was horrific. I do not feel AFM on my Z06.

If this post is meant to encourage people to tune their vettes cuz they won't get caught, it would be more convincing if it didn't involve engine failure.

jk. lol. ; )

The most deferents u will feel is the torque management removed and the harder the gears shift
