Which Discount is Best?? GMFamilyFirst ? Rebate? Invoice?

So this question is regarding which is the best pricing available? Or where is the best starting point?

I have access to a couple Discounts and im curious which to take, or where to start negotiations.

Is the pricing on GMfamilyfirst.com the best pricing to be had? Can this be combined with other rebates? (I configured a 2015 @ $75K and the site said "The Price you pay $65K")

How about USAA pricing? Is this good (I believe this is supposed to be invoice Pricing, please correct me if im wrong).

Can any of these discounts be combined with each other? Rebates combined with any of these?

I am looking to do this on a 2016 as i believe there are not many 2015's to be had out there, and i do like some of the new 2016 features enough to bump me up to that Year Model.

Or is all of this moot and i should go into a dealer and play hardball?

Thoughts? Knowledge? Personal Experiences? Please Share!

I have bought a few (I think the number is around 8) new cars and i generally go in with USAA pricing and thats generally the best. Does not appear to be the case with a corvette.

There is supplier pricing (invoice) and employee pricing (must be something below invoice) most dealers will not accept a supplier deal (and they dont have too) so your best bet is putting in an order with the top grossing corvette dealerships (kerbeck, macmulkin, etc)

Employee pricing is the best, Supplier/Military/Credit Union (discontinued) are second best. Some rebates/discounts can be combined. USAA $750 discount can be added to Employee or Supplier/Military discounts. Depending on which GM Card you might have, you may be able to combine your GM points as well.

So if you are eligible to participate in the pricing advertised on "gmfamilyfirst.com" jump on it?
I have a family Member that works at GM and they are gonna get me a "Code/Voucher". But as i surf this forum i see some members mentioning the best pricing is with these large dealers.

Some of the large dealers are discounting the equivalent of supplier pricing (give or take a little). With a dealer giving near supplier pricing, with GM card earnings you might be able to get a better price (since most GM cards are not eligible to combine with supplier pricing). If you can get Employee Pricing (not just "Supplier Discount for Friends") which is also on the GMFamilyFirst site, then jump on it. If you meet the following criteria, then your family member can, indeed, get you employee pricing:

Eligible Participants are able to sponsor their spouses, children, grandchildren, parents, stepparents, grandparents (including in-law and step), siblings (including full, half and step), stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, mother-/father-in-law, sons-/ daughters-in-law, brothers-/sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Same-sex domestic partners (SSDPs) of eligible participants also qualify, where applicable. (Note: Eligible SSDPs are treated the same as spouses and, therefore, their eligible family members are also included. For more information, contact the National Benefits Center at 1.800.489.4646.)

I fall within the Eligible Participant Categories!!!

Bought mine last year with Employee pricing because my Dad worked and retired from GM.

Were you fairly happy with the pricing when you see the other pricing mentioned on the forum here? (For the GM family pricing)

The best discount is had with negotiation and price comparison...call it what you will, but in my experience, I looked for the best national dealer pricing, and put it to my local dealer...granted, I went in in early December, but the deal was terrific...pretty much supplier pricing...

Employee pricing is 12%. Don't think negotiation will beat that right now.

:iagree: Totally.....go for the gmfamilyfirst (employee pricing) if you can get it. The final pricing is UNDER dealer invoice.

I don't believe you can get a better deal.

Executive program discount

How does the Executive Program Discount compare with the Employee discount? About the same or better?

laborsmith 07-20-2015 06:37 AM

Same but w/o the restrictions.

What restrictions are there on the others?

GM pricing is definitely the best. I've bought several GM cars that way. But you may have to go to a large dealer to use it. Dealers don't have to honor the pricing. And also if the car has rebates or special financing you will also get those. My On Star was even discounted.

Are they giving you a good trade value on your trade? Or they giving you a wholesale price on your trade, maybe it's a wash and you don't realize it, looks good on one end, and robbing you on the other.

See post #5.

Dealers do not have to accept Program Pricing, especially for Corvette, but dealers located to plants or offices tend to accept it. Around here I can not imagine a dealer, large or small, not doing so but there probably are, just not the ones I deal with.

Laborsmith

Executive is Employee pricing in case that was not clear.
