Sound deadening question
 

As I was cleaning the car today and wiping down the cargo area it occurred to me that the interior plastic on the hatch makes a very good sound reflector.

Has any one carpeted or treated that area of the hatch, or does anyone
know of a product for that purpose.

Not thinking of doing that, just idly curious if it would make any difference in interior acoustics.

Haven't seen anything about that. All the threads about sound deadening have been about applying material to the floor of the cargo area, behind the seats, etc.

Effective sound deadening material is pretty heavy, so adding anything to the hatch might cause problems with it staying up.
