Thanks for posting these pics Jag. Just funny on how all three pictures of the exact same new color look completely different. Waiting to see it in person and or other members posting there new Racing Yellow pictures

This yellow seems to work really well with the carbon flash / black contrast!

Lighting differences create the various perspectives. The first pic is inside on the shade side of the car. The second pic is inside with sunshine hitting the car from the nearby windows. The third pic is in full sunlight. :)

2016 Corvette Racing Yellow. Orange Peel? I don't see no steekin' orange peel! Seriously, The finish is a vast improvement over earlier C7s. It was worth the wait.

That particular one is a novelty plate I used for the photo. You can Google POG MO THOIN for the translation. After taking the pictures I drove about 10 miles on busy roads before I realized it was still on. :eek: ...luckily without incident. "But officer, That's Irish for "Respect your local LEO". |

The CR Yellow was shocking. At first I thought I made a big mistake, It seemed so dazzling. However, once it was on its own, the color really pops. I love it! I even got several thumbs up on the ride home. |

Racing yellow paint code
Does anyone have the paint code for the new yellow? I can't find it anywhere on the Vette. Its not under the rear mat as some had posted in another thread.

Went to dealer several months ago to initiate getting a new car. I currently have a 2015 C7Z in Velocity Yellow (VY). Previously had a C6Z in VY and a C5 in Millenium Yellow. Three yellow vettes in a row.
In other words, I only buy yellow. Saw the Racing Yellow on a 2016 C7Z and was extremely disappointed. No way was I going to buy a Racing Yellow car. I feel it's terrible. It's pale/pastel and faded/washed out. In MY opinion it's really bad. Looks like an old washed out and faded Mustang yellow. There is no POP to it. Looks slightly better in the sun but even then it's pale and sucks. It really depressed as I just loved the prior yellows and would own no other color. I ordered a 2017 C7Z Torch Red. Not what I wanted but I knew I'd regret a Racing Yellow every time I looked at it. Hell, even the Corvette Race team doesn't run the Racing Yellow on the C7R's. They stuck with VY. I can't believe they would choose this shade of yellow. Atrocious. PLEASE note I'm not trying to start a color fight I'm just sharing MY thoughts. Really, really sucks. Rick |

I never wanted a yellow car, but I ended up with a 2015 Mustang in Yellow / Black and loved the pop from the black on the yellow... all of a sudden I was really digging it... after so many issues with the Ford. I traded into the Corvette in the same colors... I really love it... Some people love it some don't... Thanks 17GS ! |

I have one like the one roped off, except I have the chrome wheels with black interior & Yellow stitching. Not sure how to post photos. Waiting for warm weather to drive. Only 28 miles and I've had it a month now.

Only 4 pages representing the only proper color to get a Corvette in? Amazing you see so few considering this is the color they race in and are known for. I wasn't none too happy having to pay extra for it, which probably doesn't help, but it just seemed right.

Rick :iagree: ALL of my Vettes have been Black, but I(and the wife) really started to like the VY in the last couple of years. Ever since we saw the first C7 Z06 at Petit Le Mans in '15. I planned to get the new C8 ZR1 in Yellow, but NOT if it's CRY(which is what I did when they chose to change, cry) The VY just friggin' POPS! What the hell are they thinking?:crazy2: |

Never been a fan of any yellow car. But for some reason the velocity yellow just begs to be not ignored or marveled running down the road or just plain parked in a garage or any place.
