1994 lt1 exhaust donut?????

Hi,

Must be loooosing my mind. Took the exhaust off my vette about a year ago and just now getting it back together. I would swear that it had cone shaped gaskets between the exhaust pipes and the manifolds, also the converter. Can't find them now and the auto parts store isn't showing any being used. Searching the net it looks like the LT1 for 1994 doesn't use any gasket, just metal against metal. Is this correct?? Do I assemble with a sealant or dry/nothing????? Bought a Fel-pro #61258 which says it's for the 1996 exhaust but it will not work with my manifolds. Found a Fel-pro #61012 gasket online that say's it's fits 1994 Lt1 Corvette but can't tell from the picture if it's shaped like a cone or shaped like the donut gasket #61258. Help, would like to get back on the road after a long time in the garage.

Have a great day,
Bob

No gaskets or sealant.

A '94 with original manifolds does NOT have an exhaust seal/gasket of any sort. If you were to buy OE/GM service replacements then yes you would need to use the seal/gasket that's offered in some application catalogs.

If you take another good look at your manifolds/converters you'll see the "ball & socket" arrangement.
