Are these Rims for a 72 Corvette?
 

I found four mounted tires in my deceased brother's garage. The rims are stamped K10-2 and 6AZ on the backside. Would these be correct for a 1972 Corvette?

I believe the code is:
K is Kelsey
1 is the mfg plant
0 is the year
2 is the month
6 is the day
AZ is 15"x8".

I think they're off of a '70.
Other opinions?

K= Manufacturer, Kelsey-Hayes
1= Manufacturing plant (Romulus, MI)
0= Last digit of year, probably 1970
2= Month, February
6= day of the month
AZ= 15X8 wheel used from 1969 through 1982

Thank you Alan and 71Green for your quick reply. Now one other question. Would these Feb. 70 rims be too early to have been on an early 72 car made in late 71? That seems to me to be a very long lead time for them to still be original to the car. :thumbs:Dave

If you use the NCRS 'date guidelines' as a reference then yes they're too early for a 72 car.
Generally with-in 6 months prior to the car's build date is the amount of time considered as typical.
