Favorite C2 mods by forum members
Since I've been on this forum I have seen some very skilled and innovative people do some cool work on their C2's. Here I want to make a collection of favorite C2 mods. Just be sure to give the original guy credit.
Hoping this will help others out in their restomod projects. Before I start posting: Is it ok to copy and post pictures from other forum members? |
Personally I like the mods that add more POWER.
I am also a fan of 6 tail lights on the C2. I don't have 6 but I like them. |
An overdrive transmission - in my case a Tremec TKO 500.

Alight here are a few of my favorites:

The best modifications are those that can be reversed. Once you modify a C2 the potential resale market shrinks.
I really like the idea of things that can be reversed when the day comes. Richard Newton Is Your Car Really Original? |
A few mods that I've done to my car that I absolutely love,
Detroit Speed headlight motors and wiper motor Vintage Air Digital analog dash C5 door handles C5 seats Six tail lights Steeroids P/S rack And none of these mods were done with the intention of reversing them. I don't intent to sell it and I built it to be dependable and drive anywhere. When I'm gone the next person can do what ever he wants with it. I didn't build it for him. |
Mods
Easy answer. A/C, P/S, P/B and a Tremec. Jerry

Many say the borgeson steering conversion is their best money spent. I know one is going in mine before I get done.

Do radial tires get counted as a modification (from original)?
|
Tremec 5 speed trans, Steeroids rack and pinion steering, modern stereo, upgraded shocks, composite rear spring, LED tail lights, and Quickfuel carb. All are reversible.

Most popular mod would probably be the addition of the stinger hood to non-stinger cars.

My car has Secret Audio in glove box - very cool. Also, many of the mods mentioned above, all done by a former owner. :)
I have been lurking here for a while and have enjoyed this thread the most. |

At the risk of repeating what has been posted up as modifications/improvements, here's mine, not in any order:
