This drag race would have probably turned out a lot better if the Corvette in question was a Z06 instead of a Z51.

I'm no Corvette expert-don't even own one yet but it looks to me like the launch control nannie doomed the Corvette from the start.

those exhaust pipes are not lined up ..looks cheap ....hate when the pipes are misaligned .

I was thinking that the Corvette wasn't beaten so badly that if he'd had a decent shot off the line, it may have been a lot closer.

I love the GTR. But, the Vette still sounds better. :thumbs:

That's for sure! The Z51 held up very well to the GTR, but would have had its ego bruised by the new Z06. Our family owns all Nissans for daily drivers and work vehicles, but I own a Corvette to keep the car passion alive and well. I love the looks, power and pretty much everything else about the Vette. I also love the brotherhood (and sisterhood), passion and comradery of the corvette community. In my book, the GTR cannot keep up in so many ways. A corvette (base models all the way to the Z06) sounds like synphonious thunder straight off the race track compared to the GTR. It is almost impossible to beat the sound of a Vette at full throttle.

$101+K entry for the base Nissan, I'll take the drag race loss and the C7 Z51 and pocket the difference, Thank you.

The still picture show a White Corvette with Carbon Flash sploiler (and looks like it has the ACS wicker conversion kit). The White Corvette racing the GTR has a White spoiler. They have this whole story messed up.

And I agree, exhaust pipes not properly aligned is NOT working...

Agreed... Would have turned out better with an automatic.

All wheel drive is certainly a launch advantage too!

I got a ride in a '15 GTR a few weekends ago when I picked up my '14 Z51 C7. That GTR is one BMF! Brutal acceleration that pins you to the seat! But, I would never trader the vette for it. Despite being slower, C7 has everything else going for it. The 6'3" seller was moving to the GTR to be able to fit in the car for racing with a helmet on.

To You Corvette Experts:

Educate me. The 'vette stumbled off the line costing him time. Was this the launch control nannie or some other factor.
