2,400 Horsepower Corvette, Enough Said
https://www.corvetteforum.com/wp-con...7461942213.jpg
The McLaren P1, a true hybrid hypercar, only has 903hp. The Bugatti Veyron? 1,149hp. This C6 Corvette has double that. Read the rest on the Corvette homepage. >> |
How much is useable? :lol::lol:
|
^^ Exactly.
Big horsepower no longer impresses me. The overall balance of all the components and the ability to get traction to use all that power is a beautiful thing. Can you build a fast car that can actually hook and won't blow up after a few passes? That should be the ultimate goal...not just numbers IMO |
In before the GS bashers start in.
|
Please …………..you can't be serious comparing 'that' to a Bugatti or a McLaren P1 ?
while 'neat'………totally different league |
Excessive! I like it a lot. Impressive, but you can't really put all that power to the ground on a small tire. I like seeing it in a somewhat "streetable" form but I would really like to see what it can do with tires that can hold that power. Makes for a crazy and challenging ride.

this has 1500hp and manages to put it all down to the ground... just sayin'

I enjoyed it.
Boy really took off finishing up... |

http://www.military-today.com/tanks/m1a1_abrams_l11.jpg M1 - 120,000 Lbs. (in its lightest variant) = 80Lbs/HP Vette in question - 3,500 Lbs. (and I think I'm being generous) = 1.46Lbs/HP Admittedly, the M1 will probably not have as much wheel-spin and most likely will launch much better, so it could be a close race. I'd like to see the 60' times... |

We all know the car would be faster with a narrow body, no fake scoops , and loose the hoopy things sticking out of the hood. :willy:

That car was wicked fast :yesnod:
Now this one put the power to the pavement pretty well IMO. https://www.corvetteforum.com/articl...6-second-pass/ |

But we all also know the wide body cars look better.

Wow! This vette is clearly a work of art and a wonderful engineering accomplishment and certainly to be admired by many. But, I don't happen to be one of those folks. Hats off to those that created it nonetheless. I am sure you put your heart into it.
