iPhone 9.2 Bluetooth issue Fix

Hey Guys, I've been on these forums as a spectator for a while and decided to finally make an account. Just the other day, I stumbled across a fix for the Bluetooth issue so many of us are having.

If you go into the music app on your phone, click on radio, then play a station. After you go back to listening to whatever you are listening to in your car, you can scroll through other media on your phone and the car won't switch the input.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but I haven't seen anything.

So do you have to do this every time you get in the car? I've pretty much gotten this thing as close to operable as I can, doing the things I want it to do.

I believe as long as your phone has the music radio app open as the last media played, it works. If you play music from Pandora or somewhere else, you have to do this again to make it work the way it is supposed to.

Latest is iOS 9.2.1 which may or may not help. :flag:

9.2.1 does not fix the issue

So you are using 9.2.1? That update is not very descriptive by Apple.:flag:

Yeah I'm now using 9.2.1. I was hoping 9.2.1 would fix it but had the same problem so I figured out the work around with the radio app.

Main issue since 9.2 was the no matter what mode you start in, USB, Radio, XM - whatever. If you recieve a phone call, use Siri, or use an app that used HFP prompts (radio 'sees' HFP propmts as BT calls) when the call/prompt ends the radio goes to playing whatever music is on the phone via BT instead of returning to whatever you were listening to.

I tried your idea and all it does is go to itunes radio and plays that after a call, if you have data to stream with. Turning off cell data and wifi it just goes to itunes radio, displays the song but doesnt play anything.

Turning off Siri fixed it on my '15 Silverado but this '16 C6 no matter what I do after a phone call it plays whatever music is on the phone, not the last mode it was in. Only real fix was when I downgraded to 9.1 a couple days after I noticced the problems and it was fine. But I took a shot and tried the 9.2.1 update and its still broken, can not go back to 9.1 now so I'm stuck.

Maybe 9.3 will fix it, some claim 9.3 beta 2 fixed it..

Not sure if your workaround is addressing the same issue. Either way, welcome to the forum.

Good to know, I'll stick with 9.1 for a while.
