Best Harness for HPDE on C6Z06
Thinking about a Sharkbar and 6 pt. harness to compliment my new seats.
Teamtech harness opinions? How long are the harnesses good? Looking for easy cinching and easy release. I only track car couple times per year. :lurk: |
The older Sparco I have has a really nice shoulder belt aluminum cam release adjusters, never seen any like it. They work really nice.
In my drag/street car I had the top of the line Ultrashield 5 point harness, the nicest belts I've ever owned. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...6c59199058.png |
Teamtech Rampac 6pt harness is the best out there. Use vetteworks tank plate behind the seat to connect everything together is easy and works awesome. IMHO check out RPM harness bar while your at it. Really nice setup. That whole setup there is what I run I'm my ZO6 and is awesome! Have a good day

I have an older Rampac that was very lightly used (bought for passenger side) if SFI date is not an issue.

Some harnesses are of the 3" variety but those for the Hans are 2" in order to ride in the saddle.

Would like to add a HANS device down the road. Hope my new belts will accommodate. Would love to get a used one since I do limited days.

Give me a shout if you are still looking for a set up and you are in NJ. I have a Brey Krause harness bar, pre cut sail panels, hard bar lap belt bar and harness I took out of my C6z when I sold it. Ended up going to a fully dedicated track car so never installed this stuff in my GS. I'm in north NJ.
If you are going to use the lap belt bar that attaches to the rear seat mounts, you may need an extended sub belt as some of the manufacturers don't make the sub belt strap long enough to go that far back. Someone did a really good write up on this. I will see if I can find it. Also, I'm pretty sure that many of the HANS device can now accept 3 inch belts. I believe the Hans type belts that go to a smaller size are not recommended if you are not using them with a Hans. |
your not using the stock seats
are you? |
