Throttle cable installation on 1975

Is there a secret to installing a new throttle cable on 75 model? I am having a had time reconnecting the new cable to the gas pedal arm. I guess I am too old and too big to get under the dash and I do not want to take that dash apart again. Assistance would be appreciated.

Try taking the seat out not really that difficult to accomplishment. When I had my steering column out and dash etc etc I found it much easier to lay on my back and get up under there. I'm 6' 225

Also for a little more slack in the cable make sure you connect the pedal and cable before you connect the other end of the cable to the carb.
