Stumbled across these but can't seem to find anyone using one. Any thoughts? They sell one with the dual-mode npp for $1250 and one with Helmholtz Style resonators for no drone $799 . Looks there's also an option that includes a X-pipe. Very good prices and looks like quality stuff.

What's up with the reducer at the ends of the over axle pipes...looks like its not a true 3" system to me.

I think they just used the same pic for the base car exhaust and z06/zr1 system. I went to that page and the pic that shows the no muffler version and muffler/hemholtz res version for the z06 is 3" all the way to where the over axle pipes bolt up to the mid pipe, that's where it reduces on the other pics. So I am assuming all of their over the axle pipes/mufflers are 3" and they have a reducer at the part that bolts up to the midpipe if it is going on a base car.

Not bad pricing at all, especially on the dual mode system. It you click on the installation instruction link and scroll down to the end they have an installed pic from the rear of the car, looks pretty good.

Changed the image to the one they show for the Z06, no reduction.

Another Dual mode option, I dig it. Would love to hear what these sound like.

Yep..it appears it was the old "stock photo" scenario.

Indeed...and it appears to be a 3" outlet on the valved side.

Unreal 04-08-2016 06:53 PM

Z06 one is $200 more for no neck down. Everything else looks the same.

Funkybird 04-09-2016 03:42 PM

That looks more like a 3"id slip fit connection to me, not a neck down.

Unreal 04-09-2016 04:06 PM

They have 2 of them. One that necks down to 2.5" for base models, and a 3" slip fit for z06 that cost $200 more on each system.

Base system that is identical besides neck down, for $200 less

Ah, I only looked at the original post.

These have a full 3" all the way out of the two center tips. That's as much 3" as you can stand. I have a set of these after trying about 5 different kinds. I think the old lady thought I was crazy. But these are it. Nice and quiet when they're closed, no drone to speak of and easy on the valet guys. When they're open they loud as @#%*. Just how I like it.

Question..those are the fusion gen III right? Is the quiet side 3" too? If I left the wild side flaps closed is it still 3"

Yes
They are fusion III's.
The center ones are a full 3" all the way out the tips. The two outside tips are a bit smaller but not too much. I'm assuming that is part of the way they get rid of the drone. Did I say I just love these pipes? :woohoo:
Just so there's no confusion, I did the tips in black myself. They were chrome when I got them. But from what I understand you can get factory black also.

Unreal 04-09-2016 08:11 PM

Factory mufflers will do 1600+rwhp. I want a system strictly for weight reduction and easy on and off. If resonator one is light, I would totally run that. If not the dual mode looks decent if it is lighter than stock.

Do u run the x pipe too and do you still have cats?

I think most know about the Fusion setup - it's been around for a long time and is one of the few dual mode systems. It was nice to see another option (the hooker setup) - I'd be interested to know what the hooker system weighs and, more importantly, how it sounds open and closed.

I don't think you're going to find a no-drone system, especially a dual-mode system that is all that much lighter than stock w/o going to a Titanium system and $$$$. There are some systems that save quite a bit of weight but at the expense of dual mode (and, I would guess you'll be dealing with a lot more drone).

I really want a dual mode system that all but eliminates drone while closed but is a lot louder than stock open.

Unreal 04-09-2016 11:02 PM

Why not just stay stock then?

Akra Ti system for the C6 is done...second hand is the only way you'll get that system. Akra still makes the stainless Evo system (mid-pipe and axle back set up) that will shave about 12 lbs off the car from stock. Is it louder than stock opened and closed...yes to both.

Same as you...curious to know weight and how they sound for my own knowledge, but I'm very content with my fusion system.
