I bought my 1990 26 years ago today at Haggerty Chevrolet in Chesterton Indiana. I ordered it in January. I have not driven it yet this year but I am going to get out this week or next. I just need to go back to full coverage insurance.

I have some pictures but here is a video from 2011:

I try my best. The last two year have been a little difficult but it seems when people see it now that it is older they like it and ask lots of questions.

I was going to get an IROC but I could get a loan, 12.95% in 1990, so I bought the Corvette instead and ordered it the way I wanted it. I was 26 years old at the time.

That's awesome. Have any of your kids (if you have any) begged for it or try to buy it off you? I would have bugged my dad year after year after year lol

Sharp lookin 90, kinda partial to that C4 year. I'm from Decatur as well.

 That is just awesome! Bought, actually ordered, new and still have it. Pretty rare for that to happen. Congrats.

Didn't check your profile and probably should have, but you mentioned you 'ordered it the way you wanted'. So how is it equipped? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

Not too many original C4 owners are still united with their cars. I am one also, as I've had my '84 since May 11th, 1983. Like other C4's it's finally starting to get a bit of recognition as it's actually an old car...

I to am the original owner of my 1985 C4. What is really strange is today April 13 is 31 years to the day since I bought it.

One day after my divorce became final on April 12. Traded a Lincoln on it that I got in the divorce. My friends all said it was my mid life crisis.

It now has 72,000 miles on it, and I have enjoyed every mile. And your right the older it gets the more recognition it gets.

Jay Congratulations your car looks great!!!

I had my clutch replaced last year.

I don’t have kids but I have a nephew who was born shortly after I bought the Corvette he has wanted it since he was little. I remember we use to go cruising around in the car all the time and him hanging onto my brick phone. I still have the brick phone too.

I think the 1990 is pretty cool too! Have you gotten your 1990 on the road yet? The weather has been pretty good lately so I should have mine out some time this week or next. I am in the west suburbs of Chicago.

Congratulations Yukon. I have a 2004 I bought new with 40,000 miles on it. I also have a 1990 L98 in my 1955 Willys Jeep. I love all of them, but the C4 brought handling to an all new level. I'm on my 4th set of rear tires on the 04 and I never smoke them. I love 6th gear and hwy 50 through Colorado or the coast of California.

I'm hoping within two weeks I'll be breaking out my 90. The weather is getting warmer, however it also depends on what I have going on.

Have not heard the Haggerty name in the Region in some time. I played little league for Dill Olds in the late 80's

Hi sorry I did respond sooner. I was looking for an IROC Z28 in 1989 and went to as many Chicago area dealerships as possible. I could not find a car I wanted to buy but I did find the color combo I wanted which was Red exterior with a Grey interior. 1990 rolls around and I had saved enough to put a down a down payment but since I had a little more time to save I had a little more to put down on a car. So I decided to get a Corvette instead. In January of 1990 I ordered a 1990 Red with Grey interior. I ordered an option package, which I can’t remember the name of, FX3, sport bucket seats, engine block heater and 6 speed manual. I may have ordered some other options too, I would look at the window sticker but I am at work now and I keep forgetting to check when I am at home.

Later in the year I ordered a 1991 Red/Grey Ford Ranger and replaced that in 2001 Red/Grey Ford Focus that I bought off the lot.
