D3PE C6 Vette Catch Can System!

The D3PE C6 Corvette Catch Can System is a must for anyone running forced induction on their LS2/LS3/LS7/LS9/LSX powered C6s. The OEM pcv system is not designed for the extra crankcase pressure from increased blow by from forced induction or "loose" built engines, this system achieves three things in one unit:

- Increases the line size coming from the valve covers (dual .375" OEM to dual .625" (-10AN) as well as vents the valley cover with a -6AN to allow better pressure release (prevents engine seals from being pushed out as well as turbo drain back issues)

- Prevents oil from getting into the intake side of the engine.

- Allows only clean air to enter the engine providing more HP (our system is 100% atmospheric (not connected to the intake system)

The engine bay of the C6 is very crammed from the factory and only gets worse when adding nitrous kits, superchargers, or turbo components, to help with this our system is mounted in the drivers side fender area. This allows us to add plenty of volume, internal baffles, and 2 breather filters, our kit also includes a bulkhead that mounts to the bottom of the fender liner to allow easy draining without the removal of any parts after the initial install.

Our kit includes:
In house hand crafted catch can built from durable .125 aluminum with cnc cut fittings
Pre-built -10AN black hose assembly's to hook to valve covers
Pre-built -6AN push lock hose assembly to hook to valley cover
Pre-built -6AN drain hose kit w/ bulkhead assembly
(2) D3PE filter kits
(2) -10AN aluminum weld ons (for valve covers)
All needed hardware

Q&A:

When is it recommended to use this type of catch can?

We recommend this system with any form of forced induction or heavy built engine producing more power. A simple bolt on NA engine would be fine with a simple air/oil separator.

What happens when there is insignificant crankcase ventilation?
Common problems associated with this are poor drain back of turbo oil to oil pan (leading cause of returns for "bad" turbos, unpressurized oil has a hard time of going into a pressurized oil pan), blowing dip sticks out, pushing seals out overtime, leaking valve stem seals, loss of power due to parasitic loss caused by pressure on backside of piston and crank, coating pistons/valves with oil increasing the chance for "knock" or a pre-igniton event.

What makes your catch can different from others, why atmospheric?
Most catch cans out there do just that, catch the oil, but what they don't do it separate the engine intake from the pcv system. The air from inside of the engine is already burnt and when this gets pulled back into the intake stream this contaminates the fresh air, making it more knock prone, just like a EGR system. Also even with a can to catch the oil, the air going into the intake stream will still have oil in it, this will coat the inside of your intercooler pipes, throttle body, intake manifold, and internal engine components. We vent ours to the atmosphere, leaving your engine sucking nothing but fresh air.

What is required to install this catch can system?
You will need to remove the drivers side fender and drill two holes in the body to mount the catch can. The valve covers will also need to be removed to drill out and weld on the -10AN fittings.

Where is the catch can made?
All D3PE products are designed and hand crafted in house right here in Houston Texas. All aluminum sheet is sourced from american mills and all cnc components ran here in the USA!

Any concern with oil pooling up in those looped lines? Seems like it would settle there and I'm not sure there would be enough crankcase pressure to push the oil up into the can.

any issues for fitment with a alkycontrol kit? Like my mine windsheild bottle is relocated 2" upper.

I believe we have had a couple of vendors install them with that meth system, since you drill the holes for mounting there is room to move it around.

Any install pics that show connections to valve covers and valley port?

I dont have any on me but on the factory valve covers, you pull the OEM PCV barb our then drill the opening bigger for the -10 ANs, then they weld on, off of those it comes with 90 degree hose ends to feed to the catch can. The kit also comes with a 6an push lock which attaches to the valley cover, the intake manifold will get capped.
