Looks like they've got one already. :(

The thing that gets me with all these companies is their test cars are all early 68 to 72 models it's never the later cars.the later cars are just as capable and more plentiful and more cost effective to build as the cost of entry is way less.] Just once someone should build a 74 to 82 model. An 80 would be so cool looking out there .but I guess they have reasons for what they do.

That's b/c GoodGuys is pre 72/73. So in order to compete, they have to use older cars. Plus it's not like the suspension isn't the same 63-79.

but I have an 80... :(

Excellent point.

I understand that aspect. However it's silly to exclude the same car only on the bumpers. I've been a good guys member for years and that rule should have an exception.

I think they need to do testing on rubber bumper Vettes. I volunteer mine!

DSE is running a HammerHead 12 bolt differential, similar to this one.

So did HammerHead make a special housing to fit a C3 vette or did DS adapt a HammerHead Camaro housing? This is getting interesting! :woohoo:

I believe so but it take CV axles vs half shafts. DSE did a great job with this car.

C3Paul 05-09-2016 11:57 AM

it looks like it can be bolted to the Aluminium C3/C4 batwing

How exciting!!!

FYI, the late C3 batwing will also mate up with earlier C3 diff housings, including those with 12-bolt IRS conversions. Happen to have a batwing on hand myself for upgrading my '78's 12-bolt IRS diff mount, if I ever get around it.
