Dyno run

Finally got a dyno run on a new tune and was surprised, was told should be 410 to 425 not 443.

When you going to bring it out to Richmond Dragway. Friday nights are street car nights.

Might go to a TnT there, used to go to track rentals that a forum member did several years ago but not since I went manual. I do it so infrequently I need several passes to get it right.

On a dynojet it'll read more. Impressive. That's more than my built 350 with NOS.

Very impressive for a 350!
Hard to see the graph, what was the TQ and max RPM?
Size of cam, and CFM of heads?

TQ 418 at 4427, hp topped out at 5990. Only took to 6k and may take it a little more once fuel is dialed in all the way.

Cam is 565 lift 280 advertised duration and 110 sep angle. Not sure of head flow, they are AI 200's, may still have it on their site, think it is 280 or 285 with the 565 lift.

Still have to work on fuel at under 4K as still a little rich, but that is better than the opposite.

So ah .. ya think it will spin the tires ???

Ron B C4 05-07-2016 07:26 PM

That's awesome. Sure would like to see a what that set up would do with AFR 195. Basically to help me decide on what heads to buy.

Sure looks like you can't go wrong with the AI heads though.

I think it will spin them just once, then no thread left.

How long was the turnaround on the heads?

I assume stock bottom end?

Yes stock bottom. Hard to say on turn around as I had heads I bought sent directly to him so I could keep my stock set. In all a couple of weeks.

If you are thinking about it give them a call as timing is everything.

One thing to point out this is on a mail order tune from pcm for less.

1993C4LT1 05-07-2016 09:43 PM

Damn, stock bottom end:cool:

Are these SAE corrected #s or Standard correction?

cv67 05-07-2016 09:56 PM

This was measured at the crank or rear wheels? 443 by 5900?

That's good to know. I was going to use them also.

Good question I cannot find any statement on printouts so I will have to ask the operator.
