Lakewood Scattershield NOS Hardware - Wanted
Searching for NOS Lakewood Scattershield hardware. What is unique to the Lakewood product line is that the bolts that hold the bottom inspection cover have "LE" markings on the heads. Although the package indicates "Chevrolet" all the bolts are the same for Ford etc. The only real difference is the quantity.

Therefore I am searching for grade 8 bolts zinc plated with or without the yellow dichromate finish that have the Lake Erie "LE" manufacturer's identification on the head of the bolts. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...cf2e7efdec.jpg Sizes needed are 3/8" - 16 X 1/2" in length (quantity 12) and 1/4" - 20 x 1/2" in length (quantity 6). The Lake Erie "LE" hardware that is currently being manufactured is slightly different than the hardware prior to 2008. Current hardware has "USA" embossed along with the Manufacturer's "LE" insignia. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...59c29a21fa.png Still searching for the earlier hardware for period correctness. Thanks! :canadaflag: |

I am sure the hardware is out there, either in its original Lakewood packaging or in bulk quantities from the original manufacturer.
Thanks! |

I need to locate a few more bolts. I am sure they will show up sooner or later....

just looked at an unopened bag of lakewood hardware and there marked with a "U" ,bag is from around 2000

The reason I am looking for the unique hardware with the "LE" markings is to keep my restoration project as period correct as possible. The "LE" hardware was used with the Lakewood scattershields from the period of 1967 -72.

I acquired enough bolts for one complete build. Still searching for enough bolts for one more Lakewood scattershield. The bolts are 3/8" - 16 X 1/2" in length (quantity 6) and 1/4" - 20 x 1/2" in length (quantity 3); grade 8 bolts with the "LE" insignia.
I appreciate everyone's efforts which enabled me to find half of the needed Lakewood hardware... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s/thumbsup.gif Thanks! |
Have you tried Richard Fortier in Fenton MI? He started Paragon Corvette but sold it, now sells correct marked bolts for the Corvette crowd. Been to his place and he must have a million nuts and bolts.
