Not another Mid Engined Thread......

Just wondering how many of you think there WILL be a ZR1 in some form for the C7?

I don't want this to be another thread about whether it will be mid engined or not.

I'm just wondering if there's room for one to slot in just above the Z06?? I think there will be.

Tadge has a history of saying certain cars/options will not be made, then a year or two later they come out. I know it's all for the sake of selling what's out at the current time but after everything he denied so far throughout the C7 run, I have doubts now on anything he brings up regarding future products.

Thoughts? Will there be some kind of C7 ZR1???

I doubt it. Where is there room for performance improvement? I don't see more horsepower being usable over the 650 the Z already has. They can't really improve the chassis without redesign. AWD won't fit. So it seems to me the only opportunity for a ZR1 would be if they could match the Z in HP with a naturally aspirated engine that does not overheat. I don't think that will happen because such an engine would be years in the making AND would have probably displaced the LT4 to begin with if it was in development.
