K band hits from Semis and RVs?
On my recent fly and drive I toured thru nine states but not in my C6 so I'm posting here. Having my V1 in use I have to use the K band for county and some city radar users (revenuers). Highway revenuers almost always use Ka and Laser. The problem I experienced was getting a very strong K band hit from nearly every long distance semi, some of the larger RVs and every single UPS semi coming towards me. I also noticed their 'signal' was forward facing only, unlike an LEOs signal that, with the V1's directional arrows, will show the direction change as we pass each other. As the semis and I passed, the signal stopped immediately. What are they using that projects such a strong K band radar signal?

I've experienced this as well |
Jammers?

According to Valentine I need an upgrade for their Junk K band filter. Cost is $79. I'd still like to know what these trucks are using to give off such a strong K band hit though.

If you are using an older detector, you will notice tons of false K alerts. I just recently gave up my old Escort 8500 X50 for a new Escort Passport model. I instantly noticed a fraction of the false K alerts that I used to get with the 8500....It was absolutely brutal. If you can send in your current V1 for an update I would strongly suggest it.

I shut K off.
I also run jammers. |
