Road Trip

I am in the middle of my 2016 Road Trip where I am trailering my Harley with my 2008 Z06. So far it has been 6500 wonderful miles from Texas to SOCAL, up the coast and over to Kings and Yosemite NP.s, Napa onto Seattle. This past week I drove through the Canadian Rockies from Vancouver to Banff then down to Glacier NP and onto Jackson Hole. Next week is Yellowstone and Sturgis. This is the perfect RV setup (Z06 pulling Harley) for the mountains and open roads and provides many options. I love the ability to pass motor homes on the long uphills. Good Times!

It looks like a dream. Are you tent camping, also, per the one picture?

I had a hitch set up on my old C5(red) a few years ago and pulled my Harley(red) a lot.Took the trailer and Harley on the Hot Rod power tour in 03 Nashville to Dallas. In fact i still have the trailer(just like yours, Aluma 391 pounds) Not decided about doing the hitch on the C6(red) yet, still have the Harley.Your trip and toys looks like a great time.

Badass setup along with some badass pictures and views! I'd much rather be in your shoes right now than sitting here drooling at my work computer :(

Wow, that's some paint job! I've never seen anyone paint their primary cover. I will be at Sturgis next week too. Maybe I'll see you, among the other half million bikes :)

Good question. We camp when we are somewhere cool, like Kings Canyon/Sequoia NP, Mendocino on the beach, Crater Lake, or next week one night in Custer State Park SD. after staying a few nights in Deadwood at a hotel for Sturgis. We always use Kayak to score the best deals for Hotels in between the camping. I installed a diamond plate trailer tongue box behind the rock shield and built a locking diamond plate cover to go over the triangle portion between the box and the shield. We are carrying Tent, sleeping bags, memory foam air mattresses, fold out chairs, grills, ice chest and so much more. It is working out perfectly for the trip.

I found a powder coat color that matched the OEM Red Sunglo factory paint and over the years I kept powder coating the chrome. Recently I sold my chrome wheels and bought a pair of OEM painted wheels and had them powder coated to match. The bike is presently parked in Jackson Hole where I flew home for a few days and after next Sat/Sun/Mon in the Tetons and Yellowstone we will drive east and be in Sturgis Wed/Thurs and Custer Friday before making our way south to Colorado. Find me and the beers are on me!

Well, I just don't see anyway it could get better than this. What a combination and what a trip! Thanks for sharing. So envious I am!!

I tried to find camping last week around Banff/Lake Louise but it turned out to be Heritage Day, a National Holiday. I have never seen it so packed before. This area certainly is home to some of the best mountains in the Continental Divide.
