Did You Buy a New or Used C7 (Poll)?

With the C7 entering its fourth year of production, I thought it might be interesting to find out how many forum members purchased a new C7 vs a used C7.
For the new C7, I've provided two options. The first is for those who ordered a new C7 and waited for the factory to complete the car. This includes both museum deliver and dealer delivery. The second is for those who found what they wanted in dealer inventory and purchased a dealer ordered car.
For used I provided two options. Those who purchased a GM certified or "CPO" car followed by those who purchased a used C7 without the GM certification.
Finally, there's a line for those who don't own a C7, but are interested in the C7 and want to see the poll results.
Enjoy!

Used

Bought used, no certification. Car had 13 months left on the factory bumper to bumper. Bought a GMEPP from Ken Fitchner for 4 more years.

Had my order all figured out, ready to place then wait, and found the exact car in stock at MacMulkin. Flew to Boston and picked it up three days later. Been a blast ever since!

Took me a while. First I found the right dealer, then we haggled for the right car. Got what I wanted. I haven't been this excited over a car for YEARS! What a beauty! And SO FAST.

I should probably change my pic. That's my old C6 vert.

Bought mine used with about 1700 miles on it.

I was going to buy one out of stock back east. They had exactly what I wanted for a good price. I then googled for a car with the same specifications and found it 5 miles from me if you can believe it! They offered it to me 4K over what I could get it back east. Told them no deal, but if they could match the price I got back east I would give them the $995 shipping charge. The matched it! They drove it over to my house the next day and we sighed the papers, I gave them a check and have been a happy camper ever since.

Ordered a new C7 built to my specifications, damn the cost. :lolg: Paid for Museum delivery, damn the cost again. Wife insisted I get everything I want cuz I'll likely only do this once.

When the supplier/military discount went into effect early this year I ordered with exact options I wanted, including NCM delivery. Very happy with this fantastic car!!

Had 3 C6's, including a ZR1, but the C7 Z06 is a step above the last gen!!

I bought mine used from a friend that wanted a vert. The dealership got involved in able to lessen the sales tax bite.

I should add my own!
I bought a 2014 CPO car from Criswell. It had only 4200 miles and was less than 2 years old. So far very happy.
Mike does a nice job. We closed the deal over the phone. Although it was a used, the car was parked in their #1 slot reserved for new delivery. It looked great!

LimeRock 09-19-2016 01:59 PM

Bought a used CPO. But searched the entire country for one in the "right" color with the options I wanted.

mpuzach 09-19-2016 02:51 PM

Bought new - factory ordered to my specs. I wasn't willing to compromise on what I wanted. No regrets although the wait can be excruciating!

rcooper 09-19-2016 03:00 PM

Bought new, even though there are a boat load like mine ...this one is mine!

ExRedRacer 09-19-2016 03:35 PM

My intention 2 months ago was to get a used '13 GS or a low-mileage '14 C7. But when I saw this new '16 Z51 on a dealers lot, and challenged the sales manager to match or beat the east coast prices and he beat them, it was a no-brainier. For not that much more than a used C7, I have my brand new Corvette.

Twisted Swifter 09-19-2016 03:39 PM

I bought my 2014 used with no certification. The car had about 4,700 miles on it, and it still has time left on the factory bumper to bumper until October. To hedge my bets, I also bought a GMEPP from Ken Fitchner for a bunch more years just in case. I don't normally buy extended warranties, but even one electronics issue will likely pay for the cost of the insurance.

I bought this 2015 off the showroom floor
