Eaton TVS R2650 Supercharger

Eaton, along with Magnuson and Edelbrock, has announced in SEMA their newest TVS 2650 series. Does anyone know if they are planning to develop a kit for the C7 utilizing this supercharger?

C7&7 11-04-2016 12:39 PM

I am sure they will. There's a market for the LT1 and 4. Maybe the Zr1 has it? Or a flavor of it.

The biggest issue for the C7 (and the 2016+ Camaro) is going to be packaging it under the factory hood... The 2650 rotor group is longer and bigger in diameter.

I wonder what numbers it will make with a car already done up with heads.. cam.. cai.. meth.. exhaust.. will it make 800 or 850 to tires??

C7&7 11-04-2016 06:52 PM

Oh I'm sure or very close.

acz06 11-04-2016 06:56 PM

I forgot to mention e85...lol.. might make me want to reconsider my procharger option this spring..

T/A KID 11-04-2016 10:15 PM

You can hit 800-850 with a 2.3
the new TVS moves 25% more air according to eaton

Spulbus2013 11-05-2016 12:55 AM

^^^ This, the 2.3 can be spun pretty hard and remain reliable. This new setup should be able to make close 1000whp on a properly built motor. Hell we have seen stupid numbers on the coyotes with the 2.3TVS, 8 second 1/4 mile numbers and 155-160mph trap speeds.

Yep, the Ford guys got a much better package with the Eaton TVS than the GM guys did. Hell, Im happy to change the hood! Just make power with potential for improvements, not a high priced dead end.
I have to say that the eforce I installed is a major disappointment. I should have at least went with magnusun kit. Then this whole thing about alcohol/water injection messing up the rotors. Is that eforce specific or all TVS?
Hopefully with new TVS we can run meth without any issues.

Edelbrock Said they can use their same case they use for the 2300. They built them knowing the bigger rotors were coming.

you can spray meth but have to do straight meth.. no mix.. the rotors will be fine..

Not sure where this comes from, I only run straight water - no meth through my TVS.

T/A KID 11-15-2016 03:26 PM

I've sprayed mixes and straight meth with no problems

came directly from Eaton.. my tuner called them directly.. they might know what they are talking about..lol..

The way I understand it is with with centri blowers and turbos, the sharp edges of the turbine blades will contact with microdroplets of liquid and slowly start chewing away at it.

I wonder how differently that applies to a PD blower.

Are you using the eforce on a zo6 or stingray? Why were you so disappointed, I've only heard good things about the kit and I was planning on ordering one this afternoon

T/A KID 11-16-2016 12:38 PM

The 2.3 rotor pack can make major power, you just have to get the inlet breathing!!! It's way more critical on that side then a centri...

mustang guys run large TBs with 5-6" inlets and see great gains...
best way to alleviate this power is hook a vacuum Guage between the TB and rotor pack, or between the MAF sensor and TB or between the air filter and MAF (actually all 3)

Speeds are a bit different between the units with the PD turning quite a bit slower. Also most of the water injection systems available now use a nozzle and pressure that provides reasonable atomization of the liquid.

LOL, you'll get a different answer depending on who you talk to over there, don't ask how I know ;) ...
