European T84 GM Headlights
Hi,
Does anyone know the GM part numbers to convert to the export headlights? I know the following: 16530129 LH Complete export headlight assembly 16526234 RH Complete export headlight assembly 16524063 headlight housing (export?) 16524064 headlight housing (export?) But I do not know which is correct and if I need the assembly of just the housing? I know I also need a 9004 Bulb and a harness adapter. Thanks, Dan |

Your numbers look correct.
The entire assembly includes the motors, etc. You only really need to change the housings(capsules?) which come with the bulbs and mechanically swap out with your stock ones. You also need the H3 bulb sockets with wires and some pins and weather seals. I got these at local auto parts stores... or you can buy the complete wiring from the vendors. This set-up is probably good for the 80/80watt bulbs, I am still using the stock bulbs they came with.. lighting is better but not that much.. Search the archives, there is lots of info and pictures. Do yourself a favor, get the plug and play euros from LAPD. I got them on a GP for $175 with the glass lamp, bulbs, and professional grade plug and play.
They are a PITA to get in, but there is a slight improvement. The only probelm is the whiter light doesn't match the fogs. Oh here is my now famous link: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=169768 :smash: |

Re: European T84 GM Headlights (MANNY)
I use 90/100 . On my Suzuki i use 100/130.
On my C4 I was able to use after market pieces from Hella. I couldn't find them for a C5 back when I swapped them out. [Modified by MRWHOOPPEE, 5:26 PM 9/18/2002] |
