"Please don't ask me what the lowest price I will sell it for is- That is not the way to negotiate and I will refer you to one of the many books on amazon on how to negotiate, and if you have to ask, you're not ready to buy it."

This guy is a character for sure. I cracked up reading this ad.

EDIT:
The dealer in TX offering the lifetime warranty seems to only offer it on used cars and isn't transferable.

Creative ad.

Some ****les:
31k miles. Relatively high for a 2014 C7. He tries to candy-coat it.
He boasts about 29 mpg in ECO mode, yet his ad is aimed at drivers that would never use ECO.
C7s are 4000 lbs.?
He should have also referenced the equivalent 2017 price, which is several thousand higher than the $69k MSRP in 2014.

The viper one was posted long ago....this guy simply plagerized most of it and added a few of his own feeble attempts at humour.

Ah haaaaa, the plot thickens.

Yep, they're warrantied for life. When they break, they're dead. Warranty over!

I looked at the length of the ad, and decided not to read it.

Great post on digging that up. The Vette guy totally ripped off the Viper guys ad.

Wow, good catch. The Corvette ad really is a total rip off of that Viper ad. Sad.

Creative....that's for sure.

LoL! Good post. And that's a really good price

Epialthes Kim 01-04-2017 03:25 AM

There are some dealers who advertise a million mile warranty or even a lifetime warranty. Those warranty program usually comes up with a long list of condition (something like mandatory in-house routine service schedule) and they are not usually transferable because they are heavily relied on the fact that there are not many actual warranty claims from the first owners since not many of new car buyers actually drive their car to 200+k miles let alone a million miles.

Agreed. 31,000 miles isn't "just getting broken in."

I've read much better ads, but usually tongue-in-cheek hyperbole about how great some clapped out beater is. His ad would've been more entertaining if it was more brief. Brevity is the soul of wit as they say.
