GS Carbon Fiber brakes

Does anyone know how long the GS brakes (rotors) last when not tracked ( a daily driver). I'm curious if they last as long as steel rotors under normal driving usage. I realize it may be too early for anyone who fits that profile to answer considering the newness of the model availability.

I would think that they would last longer under normal DD conditions.

It is not too early. Get em. They will out last most other components on your vette. AND NO BRAKE DUST!!

When I ordered mine and was doing research I was told 90k under normal conditions.

Carbon fiber? Maybe you meant carbon ceramic?

I've been told 100k under non track conditions would be a reasonable expectation. That was coming from the guy that ran GM High Performance Vehicle ops.

I'm thinking I want them on my next car.

The iron rotor brakes last a long time as well. It isn't unusual for the typical Corvette to pass through several owners before the brakes are worn enough to require changing the pads let alone the rotors.

Yep. I did mean ceramic. This is a clear example of why it's bad to multitask...
