Auto Blip and Road Course is Heaven.......

Hello Everybody, what kind interest is there in the Autoblip for your Manual transmission Camaro's that see track day duty? RDP Store gives two thumbs up to the AUTO-BLiP. IT is a really slick unit and very effective on the track.

It is a new patent pending electronic device that will automatically blip (open) the throttle when downshifting gears on an automobile equipped with a manual transmission and an electronic accelerator pedal system. AUTO-BLiP works by monitoring your automobile’s accelerator pedal position sensor (TPPS), brake pedal, and clutch pedal, and only blips the throttle when both brake and clutch pedals are pressed simultaneously. AUTO-BLiP reduces mechanical wear and tear on manual transmissions, improves vehicle stability when downshifting gears, and eliminates the need for the heel-and-toe driving technique.

RDP, how much you selling them for?

You can PM me if needed.

If this works as well as the C7 Corvette's Stock Rev Match it would be a great addition to any C6 or C5.

How is it on the street at lower rpm? Can it be switched off easily?

Mordeth 03-17-2017 08:19 PM

I just installed one on my C6Z that sees the track. Some of my install notes are in the C6Z section. It works very, very well so far under street testing and does exactly what it says it does once calibrated. It has adjustments to control the delay of the blip as well as how much it blips. Also, the owner will interact with you directly to ensure a smooth install. I emailed him a few times with questions and he emailed me back within 24 hours. The real test will come next month at Watkins.

I have one on my desk waiting to be installed. I'm hoping it warms up a bit before I take a run at it. Lots of good reviews, I can't wait to get it to the track!

Not ideal for street use, easily turned off.

When I inquired a long while back these were not available for C5, has that changed?

It does if not better. It is adjustable for revs and duration. I have had it on my C6Z for 2 years and it is the best mod I have done. Flawless.

Yes it can be switched off no problem kind sir

Been running them on my last 3 or 4 c6's... Same box on all 3 cars.. Best investment if you can't heel toe correctly!

Soloontario 03-19-2017 09:01 PM

Sounds great but I do have a concern. The delay for a blip when braking for a 5th to 4th gear downshift might not be appropriate for a 3rd to 2nd downshift given that the time on the brakes may be quite a bit longer for the 5th to 4 th downshift.

I suppose it is ok if you leave the car in gear during heavy braking.

Still tweaking the settings on my C6Z but it's only worth installing for track use. Easily shut off for the street. Can simulate heel/toe better than I can, but it's still debatable if it helps my lap times. Works as advertised though.

Confirmed it works great on my C5. It added back the one thing I really missed about my C7.
