I have your 1 3/4 headers and a kooks catted x pipe. I was thinking about getting a catless x pipe from you. Would the car be louder with catless?

Back in the day, it would be much louder, but today's high flow cats are pretty decent, but yes, it will be louder  Regards Chip |

Im definitely ok with it being louder! Would there be a hp difference between the x pipes? My car has a A@A supercharger, cam and catback with the headers.
you may see would be well within the average Dyno error rate... So not really a change for HP/TQ Regards Chip |
i'm in the market for a Long tube setup. between Dynatech or Kooks. I can't make the decision to go OFFROAD or not. I've read some reviews on here that there is a pretty strong fuel smell that enters the cabin when going with offroad style. I don't mind if i'ts louder as long as it doesn't drone in the cabin. right now i have a corsa sport axle back on it. Any recommendations?

Today's High Flow Cats are much better than ones from 10-20 years ago. They flow almost as good as No Cats. You will get a sulfur/fuel smell when you come to a stop or pull into the garage. Unless you are building a super high HP application or a dedicated Track Car, there is no real reason not to go with Cats these days...IMHO Regards Chip |
exhaust
I have a stock 09 C6. the first mods i would like to do is exhaust/headers. I like loud but the old lady will not be happy if its loud inside the car. Can you guide me towards a setup that will pass emissions, sound good but not drone in the cabin?

I would go with Corsa Sport and 1-7/8 with Cats If you notice in the vid that it sounds wicked outside the car, but inside, when you are out of the throttle or cruising the thing you hear the most is tire noise Regards Chip |

yes, in the vid its seems like a nice balance. What about emissions? Those cats enough to pass?
Depends on where you live. if you live in a state that does emissions by reading the obd2, you will pass To do this you will need a Tune Regards Chip |

its Colorado they read it from the tailpipe. Is that a fail? Does headers w the stock muffler system make it pass worst case scenario? I'm new to Cirvettes but dealt with this stuff with my STI's..
Should not fail if you Tune it but it will fail visual inspections - same as your STI Regards Chip |
