Let's Talk Bulbs!
In short: I'm working on doing an LED swap on the entire car for every bulb in the car (because I hate incandescent bulbs) could someone look over this list to confirm I got it all?
Here's what I've got so far for my 2008 z06 EXTERIOR 2x Tail Lights 2x Rear Turn Signals (I need to figure out where to add resistors to prevent hyperblink) 2x Switchback front turn signals (Once again, need to figure out where to add resistors) 2x Fog lights @ 6000K (I love the pure white color and it matches the other LEDS) 2x D1S HID bulbs @ 6000k (Low beams, My current are 3000k 'yellow' and look horrible) 2x License plate LEDs 2x Backup LED's 4x Sidemarkers INTERIOR 2x Trunk LED's 2x Map Lights I need to figure out what bulb goes in the foot wells and swap those out too but I think this is all of them other than high beams. I'll need to find some decent high beams to replace the halogens. |

I don't have a single complaint about them and I honestly have no reason not give my business back to them. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'm checking out JW just to see if they have something that DD doesn't. |
I used a combination of VLEDs off their site (http://www.vleds.com/) and this site for the bulb size / guide:

Looks like you may have missed the two foot well bulbs.

I've had good luck with Super Bright L.E.D's. The website is not the geatest however, so you may have to call them up directly. Good quality stuff. You also may need to install a diode on the center wire on the back of each tail light to keep the interior lights from flashing when you don't want them to. Install the diode so that the stripe on it faces toward the tail lights. Those resistors do get hot so make sure they are mounted away from anything that may melt.

I just purchased from JW Motorsports and am very happy with the quality of the bulbs. Their warranty is great as well. I used Diode Dynamics in the past and was also very satisfied with their products. You get what you pay for with LEDs..:yesnod: |
I agree. Having DD right down the street from me kinda sold me on them because I can just run down there and get new bulbs anytime I want them.

i dont know why your rear tail lights are split up into 2 tail lights and 2 rear blinkers...
all 4 tail lights are the same exact bulb, and all are blinkers. Also your missing the third brake light. hood light if your car has it glove box single bulb as far as the visor goes, they are unchangeable. Unless your willing to go to hell and back, solder, glue, death, etc... you won't be changing those. I changed mine and it wasn't worth the effort And finally, while I have changed almost all of my lights to LED, I don't see any point in changing the side markers unless longevity of bulb is what your trying to change. |

This way I can always return to stock if I want to do so. JB |

I appreciate it but I've actually got an LED vendor here in St. Louis that takes AMAZINGLY good care of me.

which bulbs are those? do you have sizes by chance?
needs to have the "hoops" on the end of the light, if using an LED the light projection was 90 degrees off I had to modify it to make the light project in the right direction. The vanity mirror bulbs are a #74 very difficult to change I broke 3 of the 4 original bulbs getting them out, then it's tricky getting the new ones in. |
Upper brake lite in spoiler?
I think you missed the upper brake lite in the spoiler.
I have tried to find a LED replacement but no luck. |
