1976 L-82 4spd Full Restoration
10 Attachment(s)
Fully restored, matching numbers, comes with original matching numbers engine, and a built 406 small block engine (currently in car), which was built to look the same as the factory engine (i.e aluminum intake manifold and Sportsman II heads were blasted and painted Chevy orange, factory finned aluminum L-82 valve covers, runs on Q-Jet with factory air cleaner, etc). This set up makes it a blast to show or drive, and still preserves the original engine.
Everything was restored, from suspension to interior. I'm not a car show guy, but when I drove it to the Mid America Funfest in Effingham, it was picked out in the parking lot and won the Celebrity Choice award by Lance Miller, who runs Corvettes at Carlisle (largest Corvette show in the world). (Award photo at http://image.mamotorworksmedia.com/i...&h=1000&w=1000 Any parts that have been removed come with the car (for example, it was upgraded to Gymkhana option springs and sway bars, but I have the originals; have the original catalytic convertor but it's not on the car, etc). (Car is shown in photos with a MOMO steering wheel, I used to work for their parent company. I have the 76 steering wheel also, will put it on if you prefer) Details of the 406 SBC are available, a few are Callies Forged 4340 Crankshaft, Forged SRP flat top Pistons, SCAT Forged H-Beam connecting rods, Comp Cams XE-274 cam, World Products Sportsman II heads (ported and port matched), ARP hardware, Competition Cams roller rockers. I have owned the car since 1993, I don't think I have averaged more than 100 miles per year the last 10 years. I simply don't get the time to enjoy it any more, so it is time to let it go to someone who can, and appreciate all the effort that went into it. Original engine and engine stand included with purchase. Let me know if you have any questions. Price is $19,500. e-mail to sgwarhover"at"hotmail.com. Many pics available, car is located in St. Louis, MO |

A few more pics, per a few requests. Mileski, the vacuum lights still work with the 406. (I believe they are a little slower?) The displacement of that motor helps provide vacuum more than a smaller displacement would with the same cam duration.

Have you a Soundfile from the Car?
|
A few have asked for more details on the 406 in the car (not the stock engine on the stand):
Callies 4340 Crank Cam: Comp Cams XE 274 cam Rockers: Comp Cams 1.6 ratio Roller Rockers Springs: 115 lbs @ seat, 335 lbs open Connecting Rods: Scat 6" I-Beam Pistons: SRP Forged 138101 Heads: World Products Sportsman II, fully ported - 74.5cc chamber volume, 72cc as cast Valves: 2.06" Intake, 1.60" Exhaust Intake: Edelbrock Performer, port matched to Fel-Pro 1205 Gasket (tallest intake I was comfortable with under 76 hood) Block # 330817 Windage Tray: Milodon 32101 1 5/8" ceramic coated headers Compression ratio is about 9.9, runs on 91 octane pump gas. Sorry Turbochris, I currently don't have a soundfile of the car. Hope this helps, just let me know of any questions. |
Absolutely beautiful 76, best of luck with the sale.
