Orlando - Vette clubs?

As i am new to the Corvette scene, i am looking for an opportunity to build relationships with fellow enthusiasts in the central florida area. Naturally i reached out to the only (from what i see) advertised owners group, the 'Corvette club of orlando'. However the response was somewhat quizzical (?). They 'cap' the number of people? In fact their leadership said, it may not be till 2018 that they can even consider me, and then only if someone retires (or i assume passes away!) Seems a little narrow of thought, as new members can (and would bring), new life experiences (i.e. i was the former director of operations for NASCAR), and certainly the influx of additional revenues can only help a club grow. So, with their (strange) response, I would love to hear from either alternate Florida based organizations or even smaller groups who simply want to get together, talk vette, and maybe coordinate some 'outings' . Thanks. Mike

Try the web site above for all shows in the area. I am sure you can find some group up there.
Good Luck

Try the Florida Corvette Club. We advertise as the most active.
They are on the internet. They will have a meeting the last Tues
of the month at David Maus Chevrolet in Sandford Fl at 7pm.
Come on over and have a look. We are very friendly.

I tried looking for the website. The one I found, www.floridacorvetteclub.com/ seems to be down. Is there anywhere else to look for info?
