Z06 LT4 Supercharger installed on my 2015 Z51 Stingray!!
I wanted to do a quick recap of my experience of having a Z06 Supercharger installed on my 2015 Z51 Stingray.
I bought the used and already ported LT4 supercharger "complete kit" (Blower, Heat Exchanger and Water pump, LT1 to LT4 adapter plates, Z06 balancer, Z06 tensioners) from a forum member who bought it from a Z06 owner who had a Procharger installed. The used blower was from a 2016 Z06 with 900 miles on it at the time of take off. I took the car down to Weapon X Motorsports in Cincinnati, OH. They do so much work with C7 Corvettes, 6th Gen Camaros, and other LS type engines, it made sense to have them do the install. I was right! It was an awesome experience all throughout the entire process. Here are some pictures taken during the install. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...bb834b08cf.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...52adddd10e.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...5defdad156.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...a288b1b06e.jpg One of the main reasons I chose to go this route (vs. Procharger or Edelbrock) was to make it look as factory as possible...and I believe it does! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...8e53711563.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...b6f6d8eaac.jpg I wanted to change the wording on top of the supercharger to something other than "LT4 Corvette" So I contacted Emblempros.com and had custom cover plates made!! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...a8a216028a.jpg Although I bought a "complete kit" that included the following parts.... 1.) LT4 Blower, 2.) Heat Exchanger, Water pump and Reservoir 3.) LT1 to LT4 adapter plates 4.) Z06 balancer 5.) Z06 tensioners The install needed a bunch more parts and accessories to complete the install...For all those contemplating going this route....Here are all the items that had to be purchased to make the install complete: 1.) Z06 air intake. I decided to go with a Halltech intake. 2.) New Brisk Sparkplugs 3.) LT4 MAP sensor 4.) Custom LT1 to LT4 MAP and IAT Sensor adapter harness 5.) Gates Supercharger drive belt 6.) Various fittings and bolts. 7.) Coolant for Heat Exchanger 8.) Rubber hoses for adapting to new PCV system 9.) Custom 12V relay and wiring harness for Z06 intercooler pump 10.) Supercharger oil 11.) Modified LT4 Valley Plate The stock fuel system was not quite enough so.... 12.) Z06 Fuel injectors 13.) Z06 High Pressure Fuel Pump Final before and after Dyno numbers are quite impressive!!! https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...e5152093be.jpg 610 Tq / 570 Hp at the wheel! or around 732 Tq / 684 Hp at the crank The car drives fantastic and has amazing power down low...It is a different car! I love it!!! The total cost was very similar to having an Edelbrock Eforce installed....with far more power and a totally stock look! All in all, I am very happy! Ben, Blake, and Jeremy from Weapon X Motorsports are fantastic!! I am sure I will be back down there for more upgrades later in the year.... -M |
Great write up! I still think this is the best solution for LT1 owners wanting more power.

That's sweet but I don't believe the 640 ft-lb tq figure by looking at that graph. There is a weird blip at ~2900 rpm but immediately drops 30 ft-lbs. 570 hp / 610 tq is more like it.
What else is done to the car? I've seen posts of X-pipe,catback and intake, was that it? 470 hp / 450 tq is much higher than stock (usual is 400 to 405 hp and tq). Not trying to rain on your parade but to compare to other kits, your kit yields a peak increase of 100 hp and 160 tq. Centrifugal kits and the E-Force yield 150-180 hp and 120-140 tq peak increase so something is off with those dyno graphs. |
^^^ I agree...570/610 is more accurate..the only mods I had on the car were Borla xpipe and Borla Atak exhaust..
Maybe the baseline dyno run graph is not right?cant imagine I was making 470/450 baseline... -M |
I also believe your baseline is wrong and would put you at identical hp gains with the other kits but the low rpm high levels of torque seen on lt4s.
|
bad ass setup! I wish someone would make a complete kit for this conversion.
|
Talk to Ben or Blake at Weapon X Motorsports. They will be making the kits.

Love this setup, i saw a few OE lt4 superchargers on ebay for 1500-3k range... If this can be done for 7-8k tuned with headers it can definatly be worth it

Stock hood has adequate clearance?
|
Great write up, I would go this route if a conversion kit were available. Since it's not going with the E-Force, but I love the OEM look.
Great job! |

Thank you so much for sharing the graph, write-ups, and all of the information. Looks like you have a great set-up. I will continue to strive for this but may have to piece the parts together more slowly as I can't afford to drop $8k + on my C7 right now. 1st world problems....lol

Looks great and makes about the same power as a stage 2 Edelbrock E Force.
