Broken front bumper tabs
Hey guys on the front of my bumper the tabs I think that's what they are are broken and the corners next to the inside of the head light by the hood sit high and loose. What can I do to fix this? Will be posting picshttps://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...3ca46c410f.jpg

Have the part numbers been superceded? When I type them into the search engine for GM Partshouse, I get a message that these parts won't fit my car ('05 C6).

Yup, pretty common and as C6 ages even moreso.

First I put a spacer because mine kept popping out, so the spacer made it a bit tighter, worked for a good 6 months... then it started popping out again. I got pissed off and shot some silicon glue in there, lmao at least now it stays down
I just replaced my radiator lower support, it was breaking apart and the whole front end was sitting a good 1 inch lower then normal. You wouldn't even realize it, But I noticed it was broken and needed to be changed, after replacing it, I realized the whole bumper sat a bit tighter up, I think this had an affect on why that corner piece was popping out. If you get a chance on a rack, inspect your radiator lower support bolts, there are 4 bolts and connecting points, if you've ever slightly tapped a parking concrete block, or even deformed that support, I think that might be the cause. Regardless after silicon gluing mine it stayed in, but that was just a workaround, it feels good to find the real solution |
