1969 AIM - driveshaft?
 

For the life of me I cannot find the correct location for the driveshaft connection at the transmission. This is for an M20. I do not see it in any of the optional transmission UPCs or UPC 7 for transmission. Anyone know where this detail is?

section M20 subsection A1 - A3 pages H364 - H366 in my 68 AIM; your 69 AIM should be close to those pages as well I would think

Also look around page H379 UPC M40 A11; it shows the driveshaft

Yep I checked all those sections, none show the driveshaft except UPC M40 sheet A11, but no detail on the connection to the transmission, only to the differential.

In the 71 AIM, UPC 4, Sheet A2, Item 11 (Propeller Shaft) indicates the driveshaft came to the production line as an 'assembly'…. with the transmission yoke already installed.
Thus there's no information about the connection and torque specifications for the connection in the AIM. There is a note about the shaft condition and a lubrication indication.

Alan's correct. The drive shaft arrived at St. Louis, with the transmission yoke and u-joint already installed. The only thing the assembly line needed to know about the trans end of the drive shaft, was how to slide it into the trans.

If you need assembly info for the front yoke, the shop manual should be able to provide that information.
