C7 Carbon - Beware
 
Wanted to pass along my experience with C7 Carbon. Placed an order on Tuesday, April 18th for Z06/Z07 OEM style Side skirt set. Price was $749 shipped and was informed by both Frank and my email confirmation that order may require 2-3 weeks to ship.

Called after 2 weeks and was told order would be shipping that weekend and an email would be sent with tracking information. Never received an email so I called and was then told, sorry, delay from the manufacturer in Mexico, but will ship the following weekend.

After week 3, once again, no email with confirmation info. So, I called again, and was told the same thing, product will be shipping over the following weekend. Never shipped, called today as once again product did not ship as I was told for the third time. After putting me on hold to speak with the production department, I was once again told the same story that my product would be shipping next weekend.

Frank was very apologetic and cited various production issues, which could very well be valid, however my issue is that for the past 3 weeks I have been misinformed as to the product availability.

Moral of story is be cautious of this vendor, I realize they are a supporting vendor of this site, however they charged my credit card as soon as the order was placed and I have zero confidence that they are credible.

Hope I'm wrong and there are many Forum members that can say good things about this vendor, unfortunately, I can not.

Curious to see how long it will take for the credit to be put back to my credit card.

Sorry for your issues with them. I ordered my side skirts from them back in 2015 and had zero issue and received a great product at a great price. Hopefully it is just a fluke. Good luck resolving your issue.

I purchased side skirts from them and I am very happy with the product. Unfortunately, I had a very similar experience with them as far as shipping/customer service goes. I would follow up, it wouldn't ship and then I would have to follow up again. The answer I would get is it will ship in the next shipping trip. Huh?

As I said, I am happy with the product. Hopefully they will get their act together service-wise if they see people discussing it.

Same here they have always been up front with me & have gotten 3 r4 diff C.F. parts from them but never had to call back but 1 time & was told was about one week out and got it in about that week.

I am sure you will get your stuff man just hang in, you will be happy with what you are getting.. Robert

I had a similar experience with C7 but they did deliver. I heard the same story about production problems in Mexico and then issues because they didn't have the right paperwork at the border. I'm sure you will get the product - finally but it takes a few "Mexican" minutes for it all to come together. I'm also having an issue with APR - I bought from a third party on eBay and have problems with one of the fuel rail covers. The third party told me to go to APR, APR said they've talked the the vendor and told me to go there...each one points the finger at the other and it's been two weeks - still no one has contacted me from APR so beware!! Like to take the money but customer service sucks.

I bought the Z06 OEM style side skirts last month and they shipped the next day. They arrived the following day by Ontrak delivery service. Nice product and fit great. I got great service.

The best way you could be of assistance is to be straight forward with your customers and give them a realistic time frame. Why say an item will ship in 2-3 weeks when you know it most likely will exceed that by substantial amount of time?

I'm sure you have heard the saying "Under promise and over deliver".

Just my thoughts, who am I to tell anyone how their customer service department/ ordering department should operate.
