That's a nice car. I would be curious to know what it sells for. My '86 has 29K miles.

DMITTZ 05-27-2017 09:24 PM

looks like a really nice 86 for sure

HAD2HAV2 05-27-2017 09:31 PM

Only $8,500 for a C4 with 38K miles on it. A bargain.

Wow not a mark or stain on that car very-very nice, hope to see final sale number.

Thats what I paid for my 86 with 34k on it.

Joe C 05-28-2017 04:46 AM

here's the actual dealers website - seems it's a consignment service...

http://www.mjcclassiccars.com/1986-chevrolet-corvette/

asking price $14500. IMO, a little high - if I were looking for, and had to have a yellow 86 in that condition, I might go as high as $12K (as long as it had original paint). a few things that detract from the car - mostly, the radio and exhaust, however still a fine example. exhaust is an easy fix, and I have the radio -

:thumbs:Looks like good for it's age.

Sorry ghost, I see your hood is still stuck closed. There has to be an end to your problem without using a saw-zaw.

mazdaverx7 05-31-2017 06:42 AM

That's a sharp car! A very well preserved example. Not sure I like the exhaust though. I feel like that car should not have been modified.

JungleCat 05-31-2017 07:06 AM

Unsold at $11,100 and relisted.

I agree totally and just didn't say it. When I seen those mufflers and aftermarket radio it ruined it for me and just became ANOTHER nice C4 without its wow factor. Most of the additional value has gone out the window.

not sure the car's really been modified. mufflers deteriorate over time, and it's not a surprise that they were changed out. OE replacements are an easy fix. the radio, again, IMO, not a big deal - in fact, I have a correct radio for that car in my parts stash. still think it has a WOW factor, maybe not $14.5K wow, but i'd say it wouldn't take much to get some NCRS or Bloomington status.

I have to disagree with the replacement radio. I say WOW, someone has already replaced that ancient Bose system for a modern radio system (if it was done right).

Might work well, but sure looks stupid
