Cosworth Toolbox for Mac
Hi Tadge,
I have a 2016 Z06/Z07 that I recently started auto-crossing and tracking. I also did the Corvette School at Spring Mountain, where I was impressed with what the Cosworth Toolbox could do. I was dismayed to find out that it was not available for the Apple Mac. Given that Apple Play is available on the C7, I was surprised that no provision was made for the relevant PDR software being available on that platform. Cosworth directed me back to GM on whether an Apple version would be available, as they stated that software development was at GM's request. Given that Apple has routinely topped Stock Market Caps in the past few years, and there are over 1 Billion installed OS System users, wouldn't it make sense for GM to have Cosworth develop a Mac version, and not make Vette/Mac owners either buy another PC, or install emulation software and MS Office? If it's on the way, it would be good to know, as it would save us some pain and $$$. Thanks, Nick |
Agree with question on PDR on Apple/Mac. Having to install a VM and a MS operating system to run Cosworth Toolbox is ridiculous. Maybe put the Cosworth Toolbox in cloud, and access it through a browser. Heck, I would actually pay for that.

Not only would I like to see the Toolbox ported to MacOS but I would pay to have it available on Apple iOS. It would be a perfect App for my iPad Pro!

Great idea. I agree. I think they Apple sells a few hundred iPhones per year. 😜

Not to hijack your thread but I just got back from Spring Mt and am trying to find out how to pay back my runs "with sound". The instructors said it could not be done on a Mac, but one of the students said if you open the file with Iphoto it will play with sound.
Sounds easy but I can not fine an iphoto app. Anyone have any other solutions to get sound. And yes I also would like to run Cosworth Tool box. |

1. VLC -> File -> Convert/Stream 2. Open media... -> <select your PDR .mp4 file> 3. Select 'Video - H.264 + MP3 (MP4)' profile 4. Click 'Customize...' 5. Video codec -> check 'Keep original video track' 6. Audio codec -> check 'Keep original audio track' 7. Click 'Apply' 8. Chose your destination location and filename 9. Click 'Save' Completely free |

Has there been any progress on Cosworth for Mac availability?
As for the sound on the PDR files with Mac, I just run them through my GoPro software convertor, GoPro Studio. I could never get the VLC software to convert them without getting an error. |
I would also like to know the answer to this!

Update on this for those still curious. There is no Mac support and all questions concerning software issues should be directed to GM.
|
Cosworth has stated they have no plans for Pi Toolbox to be ported to Mac, and that any questions regarding the GM version should be directed to GM.
