Storing car on 2 post lift

Epoxy goes in the garage this week and shortly thereafter a 2 post lift.

I stored my C5 on a 2 post lift and took the tires off the reduce the sprung weight on the suspension.

I always wondered about that practice and figured no downside given its a full frame and removing weight from the suspension.

On other cars I have heard people say you shouldn't put axle CV joints in the extended position for long periods. Probably not a big deal. Maybe just take weight off, but don't leave things hanging.

You realize that suspension droop is a function of shock length? There would seem to be no benefit to removing the wheels. (other than for the cleaning opportunity.)

Assuming the tension created from the bushings is greater than the holding ability of the shock.

Nearly every car I've owned the bushings hold the suspension in place due to tension because there is not enough weight at the end, especially with the rotors/calipers off.

I meant to say you could keep wheels on and just lift the car enough to take weight off and not fully extend the suspension.

It would be all the way up, storing it in the air and parking another car below.
