blue_bomber697 06-29-2017 12:12 PM

And there it is. The perfect Corvette.

rikhek 06-29-2017 02:02 PM

Agree, the perfect Corvette. This is what the Z06 should have been!

\Boost Monkey/ 06-29-2017 02:08 PM

Dope.

Agree this should have been the Z06.

Cracking work chaps! Sounds lovely from the vid. Have you got any weight data for the car? Be nice to see how much lighter than a Z06 it is.

This is a cam we specifically developed for the 427.

Very nice. How was the install of TIKT harness bar?

I am proud to say, this black beauty is sitting in my garage.
I had about 450 miles on it since its arrival.
I am in awe of this build, I'll say Jason, GM and I nailed it!!!
It is, in my humble opinion the perfect corvette for street and track.
I have had a dedicated (Katech) track attack car, however, considering my restricted life schedule, access to nearest track etc., I wanted to enjoy this car more than a dozen days a year.
Anxiously awaiting July 8th for first open track day.
This car shares garage space with my 15 A8 Katech stage 3 ZO6 and an 08 built ZO6 so I do have some baselines for comparison.
So far two things stand out the most, obviously the engine and less expected, the DSC controller matched with the R/T Tractive shocks OMG!!!
I must say the 17 GS matched with Katech's 703/638 427 LT1 is as you would think, amazing.
It is actually much more street friendly than I expected, but it is a Jekyll and Hyde.
Mr Hyde is but a small fraction of accelerator pedal away, when tipping into the throttle and the cam hits its happy spot, the car is just clawing for traction, the perfect torquey feel for the track, corner exit with the slicks is going to be a riot, and man this thing revs LOL.
We put in an RPS billet carbon twin with Tilton slave and the effect of this combination with the active rev match is un friggin real!!
I could go on and on but have to go now.

Have you tried DSC Controller without the Tractive shocks?

Yes, I'm currently running that on my car and some other customers. Customer feedback has been excellent on just the controller alone.

:iagree, other than the aftermarket CAI, aftermarket dry sump, and aftermarket headers. Factory wouldn't have those items on a street car with a VIN.

About 30-35 pounds savings over a stock Z06's curb of 3524 pounds(with a full tank of fuel)?

I would have thought that dumping the supercharger and the heat exchanger would have been more than that.

I'm willing to bet that if you put a Z06 on a scale with fluids, it would weight more than that.

You can save 35lbs by switching to girodisc rotors alone.

I bet those wheels alone saved 35lbs.

The harness bar isn't light.
