Thinking about selling my corvette.

I have a bone stock 2008 Jet Stream Blue A6 3LT Z51 NPP with 13K+ miles. I've been thinking, "If I knew the things I know now when I bought my vette". I would have saved more money and gotten a ZR1. I thought they were expensive but I've seen ZR1's in the low $60K for what I'm looking for. Recently I've been looking at SRT Vipers and they look gorgeous, just like Halle Berry. Every car I bought, it has been an upgrade. By upgrade, I mean in cylinders. Two feets to 4 bangers to V6 imports and now a V8 domestic beast. A SRT Viper is the next perfect choice. Of course I would have to save up a while but that's not a problem, I'm only 35 and bought my vette when I was 32. There are damages underneath the passenger side rocker panel. Someone hit the rear and I had a detail shop buffed the scratches. And the dreaded 3 holes. The vette has Firehawks runflats with 1K+ miles, new tpms, and repro rims. If I decide to sell, $27K would be my price. Too much b/c of the damages? What do y'all think?

I think your price is accurate. Keep in mind when you advertise this car for 27k you will immediately get offers of 25k.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

Really? I'd walk away from it at that price because of the damage. :confused2:

If I repair the damage, price will be $30k

Is it showing the damage on a car-fax report?? Repair it for cheap sell it for 27... and be done with it...

There are so many performance mod options for this car that would make a viper look like an Ice Cream Truck...

Have you been in a Viper for any length of time ? Or driven one ?

I got to drive one on a road course, and they are nice vehicles. Lots of power and handle pretty well. However, I think that for the money, I would wait another 6 months and buy a one year old Grand Sport.

You're one of those guys that say's "Hey, you can patch and paint the nose, repair the bite mark on the underbelly, and somehow fix the rear for $3000".
I'm one of those guys that says "Hey, go ahead and do that and, if it turns out perfect, I'll pay the extra 3 grand".
Nope, ain't gonna happen. There are quite a few '08-'09's with your options/mileage and an ASKING price of $29 and change.
You asked...just sayin. :yesnod:

The damage will not show on a car fax report.

I have not been in a Viper but I already know that I'll like it.

$30K would be my starting point if the vette gets repaired. I'm willing to go lower, not a problem. $27K is just my opinion of what it's worth with the condition that it's in. Around here, I see 08's and 09's vettes at $30-31K+ with my options/mileage, hence my asking price as is.

I'd do the body repairs, especially since it looks like it'd be pretty much flawless once that's done. Buyers looking for the prime examples might not want the hassle of dealing with a body shop, I wouldn't if I had other cars to chose from. In my experience (fortunately not much experience) body shops are like dealerships, capable of doing more harm than good. I'd fix it, and document it and disclose what work was done with pictures.
