HUD Polarization

Having problem seeing HUD in my C7 with my polarized sunglasses.
Polarization is such that mostly horizontal light is transmitted. Polarization in HUD is obviously mostly vertically polarized.
Is this intentional or just a design/manufacturing effect?

BMW had a terrible issue with this and their radios for awhile. They had the filters running 90 degrees off so that if you turned your head sideways, then you could read the display.

Is this the same for the HUD?

Will check though I'm sure this will just confirm my observation.

Pure curiosity! For what its worth, C5 and C6 HUD isnt like this. Im trying to remember at spring mountain (my only c7 experience) if I could see the hud or not?? I know I had my sunglasses on.

I can see my HUD with my polarized glasses on. Its a little dimmer but not bad.

C5 hud was like that also. I have nonpolarized glasses for in my vette. Problem solved.
