I sold my S/C'd Z06 a couple of months ago.

It was 14 years old and had 12k miles on it!

I got this tuesday::D

My CTS-V1 has been running great, I think it got nervous when Mr. Vette disappeared. lol

Dayum.

Very nice. Obviously the ammenities are better. How's it drive in comparison? Straight line, agility, cornering... stats are? I think it's gorgeous, but would go with black.

As you can tell from my User name, I approve. :)

Owned my red '91 NSX for 18 years before selling it. Wish I could afford a new one like yours.

Enjoy!

Wow, that's quite a step up from a c5z, sweet car. congrats!

heavymetals 07-29-2017 02:08 PM

Like driving a compact car (which it is) until you start to push it and realize you can cause all kinds of neat stuff (like impressing the crap out of yourself).

Never thought I would be in a position to afford a car like this, things just came together like it was destiny.

A real head turner.

Side note: I took it to it's first car show (RUBY'S Redondo Beach) and most of the C5's there were for sale. I am not kidding.

I don't say this about a lot of cars that aren't a corvette but that is one sweet looking machine!

Some advice for this one.....drive it & don't mod it this time around!!

Congrats & cool/unique upgrade for sure....the performance #'s are extremely good on the new NSX, all the complaints center on it being too "isolated", "cold", "not communicative", etc. etc. VERY different from your Z or V & very different from the old NSX

What is your opinion? My guess is the car needs to be around for a while before people start to really appreciate how it performs & how reliable it may prove to be as a dual supercar/dd like the old NSX and/or like the current R8 for example.

cute car

zeevette 08-07-2017 01:52 PM

My jaw's still on the floor. What a beautiful car. Enjoy it!

Fireeagle 08-07-2017 01:58 PM

The new NSX's are nice but not worth the price unless you get a great deal. I did the build your own with comparable equipment on my C7 and the MSRP was over $200k. Would love to have one but can't justify the price. Congrats.

I have to tell you this is the best riding car I have ever owned or driven in and that includes a limo.

At 65 on a good stretch of freeway it felt like I was riding on a bubble.

No cabin noise at all.

One neat side note is even though I got stuck in traffic, after I arrived my left leg didn't bother me. I don't miss working a clutch ONE BIT!

Recently, a customer of mine came by my shop to show me his new ride; a Lexus LC500. It was also jaw-dropping beautiful in person, and it cost about $100k. 478 HP, and certainly no dog, but many cheaper cars are faster. Sometimes it's not about just the acceleration, or lateral grip, but the experience of refinement, and quality.

My neighbor worked on the development of that car....he brought one home and took me for a ride. we did the launch control a couple times and it was.....literally.......brutal

Amazing! Congrats.

Gorgeous car. Why not a new C7 Z06? Did you want something totally different?

If I wanted another Vette I would have waited for the C8. :toe tap:

However, I am kinda disappointed they went OHC instead of taking the pushrod motor to the next level.

Plus, knowing GM, the first year of the C8 is going to be rife with problems.:ack:

Rumor is they are going to also offer a hybrid version.

The C7 Z06 looks to me like a pimped out Camaro (no flaming please).

No flaming necessary since I asked your opinion. The new NSX is a badass supercar.

Agreed. The Camaro is actually nicer IMO than a C7. If I had the loot your choices are great; NSX (I do not like the older design tho), C8 if they do it right...
