~~Did you miss my Sunday Corvette delivery post last week? I tell ya it feels like it's been a month since I did my last delivery post because I have been so busy catching up from my week off.
I need a vacation from my first week back! Lots going on in the Corvette World and many exciting announcements are pending. *Please don't believe any Forum post/thread that starts with "Pictures of future fenders/quarters of some proposed Corvette" "or "the new color is" ......for any sports car for that matter. Junk like that creates more work for me and totally discredits the person that
starts such threads. Those are not talking points and certainly not viewed as responsible journalism. It's borderline "Fraud" and or "Hoax." Usually people post fake news trying to get noticed or attention and the only thing that happens is their reputation gets tarnished forever especially in this day and age with the internet.
With that being said GM will never leak any news unless they want it leaked.

~Betty J. Of Germantown, MD has owned 5 Corvettes...the first Corvette was a 1969 that she won in a Church Bingo Raffle! The last three Corvettes that she has bought at Criswell were from three different sales reps and each rep passed away!!�� I was asked by Dina in service to call her as she was upset that her Targa roof flew off of her 2014 Laguna Blue Stingray Z51 Cpe. So I called and she came right in within 5 minutes and I thought I would be assisting her with ideas of what to do about her removable roof not realizing that what she really wanted was a true removable roof...a new Convertible! Betty picked out a 2017 Arctic White Stingray Corvette with Black top and Adrenaline Red Interior. Equipment list includes Auto trans, red calipers, performance exhaust and 1LT Pkg. Betty drove away thrilled with her drop top Stingray. Now she is a happy camper.

~Robert and Kellie G. of Gainesville, Virginia called me up 8 weeks ago to factory order a new 2018 Corvette Grand Sport Cpe in Long Beach Red with Kalahari interior. Their 11 year old daughter only found out when they arrived home!!! Her Grandfather owns a C6 and Robert owned a 1979 Corvette way back when. This GS was ordered with Auto trans, chrome wheels, 2LT Pkg, Grand Sport floor mats, battery maintainer and personalized dash plaque. This GS Corvette is cool as the other side of the pillow!

~Gene E. of Calera, Alabama factory ordered one of the nicest combo's that I have ever delivered! One of the very last 2018 Black Rose Metallic Corvettes built for the 2018 model year. I got Gene's order picked up the very last day for orders June 20th. Gene chose Auto trans for his Z06 Convt with gray top and two tone gray interior. I convinced him the 10 spoke blade pearl nickel wheels were the way to go. Navigation/PDR and 2LZ Pkg round out this very rare Black Rose Beauty. Plycar Trucking loaded his Corvette and Gene will be dropping the top now that it's in his driveway!!

~Bryan S. of Jefferson, MD is a Corvette customer from three years ago that switched to a 2018 Camaro ZL1 when this Special car made its debut. Stunning in Garnet Red Metallic Tintcoat! Bryan ordered 7spd manual trans, exposed weave carbon fiber hood insert, PDR and much more. Ordered 40 days ago and arrived Wednesday and now safely home in Bryan's garage. Bryan works for Coca Cola and brought me a bottle with my name on it.

~Luis C. Of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Bought his first Corvette from me way back in 2002!!! Electron Blue C5 and he still owns it. This week he drove away in a brand new 2017 SS with the Corvette engine, 6.2L V8 with a 6 Speed manual trans in Heron White. Luis trailered it 150 miles back to his Delaware home.

I like the Beach Boys around the '63. I'm a huge midyear fan and really like the Beach Boys too. Don't you just know they were having great times back in the 60's!

Good morning Mike! What a great bunch of photos today! I loved Route 66, just to watch the Corvette, the show was ok too-ha!! Of course it was filmed in black and white, and I always wondered what color the car was that Martin Milner and George Maharis drove (Tod and Buz!). So I love the shot of them during production in the silver '62! The 1960's COE truck with Route 66 on it is pretty neet too!

Glad you are back, I missed seeing your thread last week. My favorite this week is the one parked in a driveway with the snow covering the back end in front of a garage.

Great pictures and stories! Of course my favorites are the old car dealerships, Lanzalotti Motor Co. and McDonald+O'boyle with all of those beautiful GM cars from the fifties. That old light pole with the Rt.66 sign on it in front of O'boyle's was especially cool! Thanks Mike.:thumbs:

This one, because I lived just up the road in Mahwah from 1982 - 1992 and I must have driven by the dealership 1,000 times on Rt 17. Unfortunately, I never attended, or even knew about the Corvette shows there. I owned a Toyota MR2 Turbo in 1992. Didn't buy my 2nd Corvette until 2007. :D

This was the photo cover on an LP, in the 1960s, by The Beach Boys Band from Southern California. Great Sunday thread, Mike!!

So it must be true .. .that for 2018 the light gray interior and the two-tone seat options are both available on the Z06? Maybe it's only the 2LZ and 3LZ that have these options?
