Larry Fischer of D & L Transmission. http://www.dandltransmission.com/
I've been buying all my 4sp parts from Larry for over 35yrs. You won't find a better person, or more knowledgeable parson to deal with when it comes to manual trannys, especially Muncies.

I just bought a Muncie AGE supercase and complete Italian M22W gear set from Larry at D&L and I will second he is good source and nice guy to deal with. Call him for your needs. He will answer email but he doesn't care much for computers and other hi-tech gadgetry.

I called up D & L awhile back to find out the cost of parts to repair a minor gear clash I was having. Don't know who I talked to but he asked me some questions about the symptoms and told me some things to try.

So far, his advice seems to have saved me a bunch of money.

That's the kind of company I like to do business with.

Don't know if the supporting vendor rules apply, :hide: but if so, I will not say AGE (AutoGear) for mail order and Performance Transmission for local service have been competitively priced and great people to deal with.

Larry Parsons (DZAUTO) referred me to D&L for my 58 T-10. I cannot say enough great things about Larry and D&L--will do you right! No games.

It's Tom parsons.

I started rebuilding Muncies about 50yrs ago. Above, I said I'd been doing business with Larry (D&L) for over 35yrs. I guess that's wrong. Because soon after I got into rebuilding Muncies, I discovered D&L, so obviously I've been doing business with Larry for 40-45yrs. DAMN!!!!!!!!!! Where did the time go???
I have recently been building my own M22W Muncies for my own use (I'm adicted to that M22 whine). I scrounge through stock cases and tail housings and side covers to find usable ones in good condition. I buy an Italian M22 gear set from Larry and then build my own using a rebuild kit from Larry and Tork Loc sliders.
Most people here know that the 63-65 Muncies had the 7/8in cluster shaft/gear and 66-later had the 1in shaft/gear. I've had some 64-65 (NOT 63) cases bored out for a 1in shaft, which results in a REAL TIGHT fit for the shaft (cluster shafts were know for leaking after many miles and hard use).
There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with using an AGE Super Case, but if you are not severely abusing your Muncie on a regular basis, then a stock case is just fine (and retains a factory appearance). All of my 4sp cars (and one son's car) have stock Muncie cases which I have rebuilt and NO LEAKS. Some of my Muncies have had the hole for the cluster shaft bushed, and on some of them I have devised a method of tightening the front hole (which anyone can do at home on the workbench).

Apologize to Tom Parsons for typing his name incorrectly. Guess I was thinking of Larry at D&L and fingers just went with the flow.

The three I have dealt with over the years and would highly recommend. Larry at D and L, Paul Cangiolosi at 5 speeds and Jody Haag at Jody's transmissions. All three are Autogear dealers and all three were terrific to deal with.

Hi Tom,
Thanks so much for the fantastic rebuild work that you did for the (M22) transmission in my race car.:thumbs::thumbs:
