Proper Wiper Blades on 86

Can someone give me the proper wiper blade sizes on an 86? I believe one is smaller than the other. Thank You.

The correct answer for an 86 are 2 low profile 18" blades.

The best way to go are 2 Trico 20-2's. Ask me how I know.

Probably most have, they bought some that were 'supposedly' for an 86 and hit the hood. I happened to have the same situation where I had the dealership replace the blades while having some work done. You'd expect them to have the right ones, they didn't. I ended up getting some from RockAuto, NAPA label but were right for the car.

Best suggestion I can give, take one of your old ones to wherever you get your blades and compare them. there are 2 different hole sizes put the mount isn't the same on all the blades.

If you have a '94 or earlier car just buy the 20-2 and you're all set. If you have issues with what you have now - carrying them with you ain't going to help much and could even create issues.

If you wanted a shorter blade a 19-2 I'd think could work well. I've never tried them but I believe I have a friend that does use them. He's not local anymore

:iagree: I have used the TRICO 20-2 blades on my old '87 and they worked fine. No issues with hood clearance either.
