Hi Folks,

Well I got a nice 2017 Subaru Outback 3.6R Touring which comes with all the bells and whistles. As a matter of fact there are not any options available for it, except accessories. It is also painted one of my favorite colors of Pearl White. Wish that was available on the Vette. Being that is a 6 cylinder, it seems to move pretty quickly, however not anywhere near as fast as my Z51 Stingray lol.... It is replacing my 2006 Subaru Outback with 100,000 miles on it and in need of $5000 of work..... What a change in 11 years (night and day). Each of my 3 Subaru Outbacks I had changed for the better just like each of my 3 Corvettes (2000 C5; 2008 C6 & now 2015 C7) did.

Very happy with my new addition. Also has every safety feature you can think of, wish the Vette had some of them. Now I won't mind as much when it rains or the long Winter when I do not drive the Vette.

Here are some pictures of it...........

I've never owned a sube. But I respect their design philosophy and look forward to driving one some day. Congrats.

Very nice! These are nice cars. I've recently driven a '13 & '15 Outback & a '16 Crosstrek and I really like them. My wife is now all about Subarus and so our next new car will likely be one. They seem to hold their value pretty well also.

I'm a little weird though; the Outback is a bit too big for me. The Crosstrek being a "lifted Impreza" is more my speed, has a nicer color palette, and honestly the boy racer in me is screaming "get the WR Blue Mica WRX" (hasn't been since the bug-eye days that I've thrown around a WRX).

Looks nice!!! Well built cars made right here in Indiana

Congrats. Good looking rig.

Do they use a CVT trans in those? If so, what's that like?

My 2015 with 50,000 trouble free miles. Added black wheel and painted the grill black.
Below that is my son's Outback with 258,000 miles on the original drivetrain
Subaru has been good for us.

I don't know, we have a 13 Crosstrek and although its been a pretty good car, no repairs other than a clutch replaced at 60k(can't blame the car for that) and lost its A/C refrigerant at 50k(easy fix, just o-ring and a recharge), overall I haven't been impressed.

I mean, I get that they are built to a price(paid less than 27k for a AWD car) but the build quality is mediocre at best and the refinement is downright poor. I'm constantly chasing down dash rattles, the doors shut with all the tinniness of a 80 Hyundai and the road noise isn't much better than the Pontaic Solstice that I used to have and it was soft top with DOT track day tires.

Maybe I being a bit critical but lately all I hear is how great they are and as a owner I'm just not so sure.
