Clutch

My 2009 C-6 Corvette Clutch pedal stuck to the floor and will not spring back?
I had it towed to my Mechanic He will not be there till the AM, has this happen to anyone else??

Yes, many people many times. There is a TSB for this problem and is covered 10yr/100k mi. on many of our cars. The TSB is #14717.

GM covers replacement of this because it is a safety hazard as you can start the car in any gear with the condition.

I had this happen and the slave cylinder went bad. I had already replaced it when GM sent me the recall but there is one for the clutch.

I did down load the 14717 recall from GM
Thank you!!!

Can easily happen twice, especially if you are modded or making decent power. The clutch will slip, you cook the fluid, and this happens. That is a different root cause than a bad master, that is just overpowering the system, boiling the fluid or melting the slave.

If it is a bone stock car, should be extremely rare to happen again.

What is the number of the clutch recall, please?
