A photo of a lifetime! Better lucky then skilled...

So I finally had some time to take the Vette to a popular local spot in downtown Detroit for some pictures. I loaded up my camera and my buddy who was visiting for a trip to Michigan Central Train Station.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michigan_Central_Station

The place is just beautiful. It's been under some recent renovation but is still closed to the public. The building is just beautiful and a perfect backdrop for some pics with my camera.

So when we roll up, there is a couple taking some wedding photos with a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado. It was a BEAUTIFUL white exterior and red interior combo.

They were parked off to the right side of the building taking shots posing in/on the car. It was a great sight.

Not wanting to miss my chance, I snuck in on the left and we jumped out and started snapping pics with my camera. Soon after, the wedding pictures ended and the owner of the Eldorado came down to talk. As we discussed his car and the Vette, I noticed another photographer snapping pictures of the Vette and the Train Station. He was really getting into it, and I had a sense that his photos where going to be FAR better then mine. After about 15 mins, he introduced himself and asked if I would like a copy of his shots. I quickly agreed and took his info.

Glad I did. A few days later these shots started filling my inbox....

I was blown away by his skill-set.
This guy's shots took this car to a whole new level!!!
I have been in email contact with Roy. He has some serious skills and was SO fortunate to have meet him that day.
This car has paved the way for so many conversations and opportunities like this that I couldn't imagine!

Here is some more of Roy's work.

Your Vette is stunning as are the pictures. Quickly looked at some of his other pics and he has very good taste in photography. You were definitely lucky to get those shots. Those are wall mounters. Please tell me you're going to blow up the close shot and put it on canvas or something in your place!

Thanks Guys! Appreciate the comments.
No doubt Roy's pictures made my work even better.
With 800+ miles on the odometer, I'm loving this Vette.

You may not realize it, but several of you made contributions to this and the other forum that I used in my build. These 'how to' and Q&A threads were critical during the research & building phases. Without these threads, I don't believe that I could have completed the build to the level that it currently sits. My success was built, in part, to the threads here, the pictures attached, the questions answered and the lessons learned. The Corvette forum(s) community is the modern day hot-rodders best friend.

Please keep up the good work of posting and documenting your progress. Don't let those internet trolls (AKA - Photobucket) wreck your hard work and documentation. There are guys out there that need this stuff.
I look forward to following the next build and watching people's Corvette dreams become reality.

Thanks guys.
Steve

any photographer that can make your car look even better must be a hell of an artist.
Love the photos.

I had a very similar experience with mine about 10 years ago. We rode up to the mountains to catch the sunset and like you, I started snapping pics of mine against the sunset. Along comes a dude with killer camera equipment and asks if he can take pics too. Just like you, his pics were much better than mine, and not only did he email me copies, he even had a print made and mailed it to me, and wouldn't accept a dime for his work. That print is now framed and hanging on the wall, and I use the emailed copy often when people ask for pics. Too bad photobucket changed their usage, or I'd put the pic up here. More importantly though, since this is your thread, your pics are AWESOME, and i too especially love the close up. Also, that's a bad ass looking car too!

Magnificent shot but your Corvette is a scene stealer.
