Looking for some input here... Im debating on putting a set of long tubes on my car.. hearing sad stories far as fitment... WHAT IS THE BEST FITTING HEADERS FOR A C6 LS-7???

We use ARH for mostly everything.

ARH fit great, but so do any of the top quality brands. LG, Kooks, etc.

81turbota 09-22-2017 01:53 PM

My Kooks 1 7/8 fit great.

RedZ4me 09-22-2017 02:12 PM

stock fits best - do you really need headers is the question? I keep reading stockers flow well

Drew03tx 09-22-2017 02:29 PM

I used Texas speed headers, didn't have to modify anything to get them to fit at all

DaOtherOne 09-22-2017 02:37 PM

I have ARH and they fit great.

LG 1 7/8 here.... Fit like a glove..

danziger 09-22-2017 04:00 PM

I've had great luck with Kooks.

ARH fit great for me as well. If planning on doing more modding in the future you may want to go 2" primaries.

wotbluez06 09-22-2017 05:25 PM

Has anyone had any experience with stainless works 2" primary headers?

You don't if your Z is stock. With cam/heads... yep! Or you are really choking the added airflow. Headers on stock LS7 around 15 rwhp max. You can get close to 30/ 30 depending on cam/ head pairing. Primary diameter, stepped etc. YMMV.

I know my JBA headers fit with no problems. I was surprised because of the cost!
Maybe I just got lucky?

JBA makes quality stuff...just not a big following in the vette world.

1)ARH
2)LG
3)Kooks

PFADT headers are killer. Fit,finish and power. Great under car clearance also.
Expensive but well worth the money.

100% disagree with that.

Jaybird29 09-24-2017 02:45 PM

How about Billy Boat headers. I heard they fit well.

Josh B. 09-24-2017 03:05 PM

Easiest to hardest fitting:

ARH
Kooks
LG

ARH 1-7/8 falls onto the car. 2" is barely more difficult. I'll be install the ARH stepped race headers in a week or so, TBD on the difficulty for them.
