Is the filter a lifetime filter? |
What is the price? And where do you buy it?

I can tell you guys this: I helped this company with the field testing of this intake and they used my car as one in a group of testers. This is an AWESOME intake and I have never seen a guy so detail oriented and data driven (and I'm in an engineering field, myself) as the owner of this company.
This guy would not bring the intake to market until it was PERFECT. He did an insane amount of field testing, data logging via real world driving (not just dyno) and tweaking until he achieved the perfect intake setup. After seeing first hand what this company does to properly develop their products, I would never choose another intake over theirs, period. I was not paid, either, I simply volunteered to help. If you're performance driven, results driven, actually care about a well designed intake and not something that's quickly thrown out to market to grab customers as soon as possible,. This is your intake. |
I don't know about Z06s, but I watched my air intake temps at a track and they are basically ambient- maybe 5 degrees higher. This is on a race track, running 30 minute sessions.
Have you done any real world testing to see if the air is actually colder? |
Boost Monkey, which engine do you have, please?

Have you done any real world testing to see if the air is actually colder? Using EFI live, We data log all runs. Intake Temps with the OEM box and other aftermarket systems would run between 12-30 deg "ABOVE" true ambient temp. The OEM air Box was better than other aftermarket units in terms of temp control. Test driving ranged from driving stoplight to stoplight to running 130MPH wide open. In some tests we would sit for 5min at operating temp then see how long it would take the box to cool down the IAT's at a 30-40mph cruise. The stock box could never reach within 16-20 deg of true ambient temp after this test, even when run wide open at over 100mph! Other aftermarket units were worse when we conducted this test. This was the drive through simulation test. Test day temps ranged from 70 deg, to blazing 100plus TX summer days. We are editing a video of some of this back to back testing. Look for it soon on our website. VR tech |

All we do at VR is real world testing, back to back long runs ,short runs and track testing etc..

I assume that the "18-20 Hp gains" are for the LT1. Any performance numbers available for the LT4? Thanks
|
:lurk:
|
So does this get the CAI effect of cold air in a different path than the OEM path?
|
Are you getting these numbers with a stock unmodified engine? If not, what can you expect?
